In This Role, YouWill

  • Conduct a periodic ContractEffectiveness Assessment of aircraft and cabin consumable andexpendable items and provide to the Manager Procurement to be usedas contract recommendations for new projects and contract analysisas an objective negotiation tool for new contracts and contractamendments for future component selection evaluationprogrammes.
  • Analyse periodic supplierperformance metrics and provide to the Contract ManagementSpecialist, to be used as a tool for negotiation leverage in theselection of aircraft and system equipmentprograms.
  • Study all Emirates aircraft equipmentsystem purchase agreements and contracts and ensure that allavailable support terms are disseminated to all respectivestakeholders and benefits are collected in a timely manner with thestipulated contractual grace periods.
  • Negotiatesupplier contract compliance disputes and provide interpretationson contractual terms for the engineeringcontracts.
  • Run the yearly price review forBuyer Furnished Equipment and Seller Furnished Equipment agreementsto verify and reconfirm that the supplier has adjusted the Pricesin line with agreed adjustment percentage cap and the contractualobligations.
  • Provide an efficient support tovarious EK Engineering business units, by recommending effectivecontractual solutions which support their needs in terms ofcontractual incentives, contract extracts, concession verification,handling light disputes and summary requests, depending on thegravity of the issue.
  • Monitor in a timelymanner all contractual free of charge spares and special discountpercentages offered to Emirates, and ensure contractual compliancethrough an FOC Purchase Order, issued by the concerned Stakeholders(i.e. Component Management, Materials Provisioning and InventoryControl).
  • Review and follow-up eligibleman-hours reimbursements and parts replacements covered under allaircraft commitment letters (Boeing & Airbus), includingservice bulletin modifications and pass on the information to theWarranty Coordinators in order to initiate appropriate claimsagainst suppliers
  • Ensure all Vendor InformationApproval requests raised for Vendor Management update in UltraMain. Monitor the Vendor approval licenses expiry date and engagewith the respective stakeholder for renewal process and per theprocess and compliance proceduremanuals.
  • Generate reports on a regular andad-hoc basis, related to all aspects of contract management andcommunicate to the Procurement team and other relevant businessunits. Perform other functions relative to contract management asrequired by the department.

Qualifications& Experience

To beconsidered for the role, you must meet the belowrequirements:

  • 12 years ofschooling or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in Engineeringor Other.
  • Having thorough knowledge ofinventory systems, models and principles of forecasting, materialsmanagement and purchasing.
  • Being familiar withof all corresponding repair, warranty, stores, inventory,technical, production and qualityinterfaces.
  • Being familiar with aircraftsystems including maintenance philosophies, practices, policies andprocedures.
  • Having industry experience inSupply Chain is preferable (Warehouse and Logistics, Repairmanagement, Material Planning/Support & Inventory Control,Technical Purchasing).
  • Having aircraftmaintenance spares purchasing experience is preferable. Airlines orMRO (Maintenance Repair Organization) workexperience.
