The Student Leadership and ActivitiesSupervisor plays an essential role in cultivating a vibrant andwide-ranging campus community. Responsible for orchestrating adiverse range of events, workshops, and programs, the Supervisorempowers students to develop essential leadership skills, embracecultural diversity, and foster personal growth. With a keen focuson enriching experiences beyond the classroom, this role nurtures adynamic environment where students can explore their potential,engage in meaningful connections, and embark on transformativejourneys ofself-discovery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote, organize and execute anarray of campus events, including but not limited to New StudentOrientation, Club Fair, Global Day, National Days, and AU GotTalent, fostering a sense of unity and excitement within thestudent body.
  • Curate and manage culturallyenriching events that celebrate the diverse backgrounds andinterests of AU students, contributing to an inclusive and globallyaware campus environment.
  • Arrange local trips,ensuring compliance with AU guidelines, and oversee travellogistics to provide students with enriching experiences beyond thecampus.
  • Supervise and facilitate studentpublications, promoting creativity and self-expression amongstudents.
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensivetraining for student club board members, empowering them withessential leadership and organizationalskills.
  • Prepare and coordinate the productionand distribution of materials pertaining to leadership development,promoting a culture of continuous growth andlearning.
  • Strategize and implement engagingleadership programs, activities, and workshops that foster personalgrowth and leadership insight among AUstudents.
  • Facilitate opportunities for studentsto attend leadership conferences, seminars, and workshops, bothdomestically and internationally, broadening theirhorizons.
  • Accompany students during off-sitetrips as required, ensuring their safety andwellbeing.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance toAU Peer Leaders and Ambassadors, offering support in leadershipdevelopment, self-discovery, and identityexploration.
  • Oversee the Peer Leaders Program,aiding the transition of first-year students and their integrationinto university life.
  • Research, design, anddeliver workshops on leadership and self-development, equipping AUstudents with valuable life skills.
  • Conductthorough assessments of leadership initiatives, analyzingparticipation data, student progress, and program effectiveness todrive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure robustmedia coverage of all events and programs, maximizing their reachand impact.
  • Maintain meticulous records,including event proposals, budgets, contacts, contracts, mediacoverage, and evaluations.
  • Prepare regularreports for senior management, offering insights into studentengagement and program outcomes.
  • Undertakeadditional responsibilities as delegated by the Director of StudentLife.

QUALIFICATION& EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in arelevant field (Master's preferred).
  • 3+years' experience in college student leadership, studentactivities, group facilitation skills, supervision.

KNOWLEDGE &SKILLS:

  • Strong passion for studentdevelopment and creating a vibrant campuscommunity.
  • Exceptional organizational andmultitasking abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonaland communication skills.
  • Ability to workflexible hours, including evenings andweekends.
  • High proficiency in MS Office andevent management software.
