Roles and responsibilities
  • Distributes the manpowerbased on the site engineer instruction
  • Controland monitor the materials and tools received from the projectstore
  • Coordinates with other activities in theproject.
  • Control and monitor project executionteam for the right productivity
  • Plans therequirements of material and communicate to the SiteEngineer.
  • Ensures the quality ofworkmanship
  • Ensures the control for lessmaterial waste and the skilled/semi-skilled timewaste
  • Ensures the follow up of all HSE rulesand measures
  • Control & monitor the workprogress at site as per project timeframe.
  • Handles the Testing &Commissioning of the project systems.

Requirements

  • Diploma in either Mechanical orElectrical
  • Minimum of 6 – 10 years ofrelevant experience
  • Language –English

  • ProjectOversight:

    • ManagingSite Operations: Overseeing daily activities on thework site, ensuring that tasks are carried out as planned andproject schedules are adheredto.
    • TaskCoordination: Assigning tasks to workers,contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring that everyone understandstheir duties anddeadlines.
    • Monitoring WorkProgress: Tracking the progress of the project andensuring that milestones are met according totimelines.

  • TeamSupervision:

    • ManagingPersonnel: Supervising workers, subcontractors, andother team members to ensure work is carried out efficiently,safely, and according to projectspecifications.
    • Motivating theTeam: Ensuring that the team stays focused andmotivated throughout the project, addressing any issues orchallenges that mayarise.
    • Training andDevelopment: Providing guidance and training to lessexperienced workers or new team members, ensuring they understandsafety protocols and workprocedures.

  • Healthand SafetyCompliance:

    • EnsuringSafety Standards: Enforcing health and safetyregulations and ensuring all workers are wearing the necessaryprotective gear and adhering to safetyprotocols.
    • Conducting SafetyInspections: Performing regular safety checks onequipment and work areas to prevent accidents and identifypotential hazards.
    • ReportingIncidents: Reporting any accidents or safetyviolations to higher management and documenting them for futurereference.

  • QualityControl:

    • EnsuringWork Quality: Ensuring that all work is completed tothe required quality standards, as specified in project plans orcontracts.
    • ConductingInspections: Inspecting work as it progresses,identifying and resolving any issues related to quality, andensuring that work meets the necessarystandards.
    • Problem-Solving:Identifying potential problems on-site (such as technical orlogistical issues) and finding solutions to ensure that workproceeds withoutdelay.

  • Resourceand EquipmentManagement:

    • ManagingResources: Overseeing the use of materials, tools,and equipment on-site, ensuring that they are available, properlymaintained, and usedefficiently.
    • InventoryManagement: Monitoring stock levels of materials andsupplies, coordinating with procurement or inventory teams toensure timely delivery of materials to thesite.
    • MaintainingEquipment: Ensuring that all tools and machinery arein good working condition and arranging for maintenance or repairwhennecessary.

  • CommunicationandReporting:

    • Liaisingwith Stakeholders: Acting as the main point ofcontact between the on-site team, project managers, contractors,and clients to ensure effectivecommunication.
    • ReportingProgress: Keeping detailed records of projectprogress, delays, incidents, and worker performance, and providingregular updates to project managers andclients.
    • ManagingDocumentation: Ensuring that all necessarydocumentation, such as permits, inspections, and compliancereports, is completed andmaintained.

  • ProblemResolution:

    • HandlingIssues on Site: Managing any issues that arise onthe work site, such as delays, disputes, or material shortages, andresolving them as quickly and efficiently aspossible.
    • ManagingConflicts: Addressing conflicts between workers,contractors, or subcontractors in a professional manner to maintaina positive workingenvironment.

    • Ability toprioritize tasks effectively and keep the project on schedule, evenwhen faced with unforeseen delays orchallenges.
