Electrical Supervisor for Solar Projects is responsible for overseeing the installation, operation, and maintenance of solar power infrastructure projects & MEP. This includes managing teams involved in rooftop and carport solar panel installations, ensuring the integration of solar systems with low-voltage (LV) electrical systems, lighting & small power for MEP works, and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Report to the Site Engineer for project schedules and requirements.
  2. Assign daily/weekly tasks to teams based on project milestones.
  3. Assist in preparing BOQ for materials (solar panels, inverters, MEP components).
  4. Ensure compliance with Solar and MEP drawings.
  5. Oversee solar panel installation, wiring, and connection to inverters.
  6. Supervise installation of lighting and MEP components.
  7. Ensure proper installation of combiner boxes, disconnects, and mounting structures.
  8. Manage integration of solar systems with LV electrical systems.
  9. Supervise foremen, technicians, and laborers.
  10. Conduct safety meetings and enforce safety regulations.
  11. Monitor material usage and coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries.
  12. Ensure installations meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  13. Conduct site inspections and resolve quality issues with the Quality Control team.
  14. Submit daily progress reports and maintain documentation of materials, work, and workforce.
  15. Control material wastage and labor utilization.
  16. Allocate resources and resolve site disputes.
  17. Work in outdoor environments and at heights, with occasional travel to various sites.

Qualifications:

  1. Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  2. Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry standards for solar and electrical installations.
  3. Experience with preparing BOQs and managing project budgets is a plus.

Experience:

  1. 8-10 years of experience in supervision roles.
  2. At least 2-3 years as a Foreman.

Knowledge & Skills:

  1. Proficient in reading and interpreting solar panel installation drawings, electrical schematics, lighting & small power (MEP) & system layouts.
  2. Knowledge of solar panel installation terminologies such as PV modules, inverters, racking systems, and related components.
  3. Understanding of materials used in solar installations (e.g., panels, mounting systems, combiner boxes, fuses, disconnect switches, light fixtures, small power accessories).
  4. Experience with rooftop and carport installations, including structural assessments and roof penetration techniques.
  5. Strong understanding of low-voltage (LV) electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, and safety disconnects.
