Roles and responsibilities

The Senior Marketing Manager atDeliveroo is responsible for overseeing the marketing strategiesand initiatives of managing restaurants and promotions. The roleinvolves developing and implementing marketing plans for jointbusiness partners and managing restaurant promotion calendar andcross-functionalpromotions.

RestaurantMarketing

  • Develop joint marketing plans withkey, exclusive restaurant partners to drive customerlove
  • Develops and implements best practiceswith commercial teams (restaurant account management) to ensure thesmooth completion of any campaign launches /tasks
  • Lead and develop marketing templates andbest practices based on previous campaign performance to launch /support restaurants
  • Manages the restaurantpromotion calendar alongside director of growth and director ofrestaurants

Promotions

  • Existing customer campaigns: Managesand advises on the creation and development of cross-functionalgrowth promotions to drive customer acquisition, retention andorder frequency (5GB / ULT)
  • New customeracquisition: Drives the new customer promotion strategy mechanic toincrease incremental NC's to theplatform
  • Collaborate closely with director ofgrowth, director of grocery and retail and vertical stakeholders toimplement clearly execute campaigns and ensure a smooth launch andexecution
  • Collaborate with Senior Marketing:Grocery and Retail to develop and implement customer promotions todrive vertical adoption / retention

DataScience

  • Utilize data science insights toinform marketing strategies anddecision-making.
  • Forecast cost and %uplift forupcoming campaigns based on previous performancedata
  • Collaborate with the F&S team toidentify trends, customer behavior, and marketopportunities.
  • Implement data-driven marketinginitiatives to optimize ROI and drive business growth (orders, newcustomer acquisition and retention)

TeamManagement:

  • Lead and mentor one direct report(Senior Marketing Associate)
  • Foster acollaborative and innovative work environment to drive marketingexcellence
  • Collaboration with CRM, digitalmedia and brand teams to develop strong media plans (owned andpaid) and creative execution

  • StrategicPlanning: Ability to develop and implement long-termmarketing strategies aligned with businessobjectives.

  • MarketResearch: Proficiency in conducting market researchand analyzing consumer behavior, market trends, and competitivelandscapes.

  • DigitalMarketing: Strong understanding of digital marketingchannels, including SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, andcontentmarketing.

  • BrandManagement: Experience in building and managingbrand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketingefforts.

  • BudgetManagement: Skills in managing marketing budgets,tracking expenditures, and optimizing spend for maximumROI.

  • Leadership:Strong leadership and team management skills to guide and motivatea marketingteam.

  • CommunicationSkills: Excellent verbal and written communicationskills for creating compelling marketing content andpresentations.

  • ProjectManagement: Ability to manage multiple projects andcampaigns simultaneously, ensuring timelyexecution.

  • DataAnalysis: Proficiency in analyzing marketing metricsand KPIs to evaluate campaign performance and inform futurestrategies.
