Job Summary

The Finance IT Senior Consultant will play a critical role in our project and support teams by providing 2nd level support and expertise for both SAP and non-SAP Finance applications. This role demands a deep understanding of Finance and controlling processes and applications focusing on technical guidance, solution implementation, and ongoing support.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Technical Expertise and Guidance: Provide specialized technical support and guidance to project teams contributing to the design, architecture, and implementation of both SAP and non-SAP Finance solutions.
  2. Design and Implementation Review: Evaluate design documents, workflows, and diagrams to ensure IT solutions meet client needs and project objectives.
  3. Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance activities including test plans, testing activities, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet quality standards and performance requirements before deployment.
  4. Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate the transfer of knowledge from external project teams, ensuring all necessary information for post-implementation support and maintenance is documented and archived according to project methodology.
  5. 2nd Level Support: Provide advanced support for business applications, troubleshooting issues, resolving incidents, and implementing fixes to ensure smooth and efficient application operation.
  6. Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training to relevant personnel and maintain comprehensive documentation including design specifications, implementation steps, testing procedures, and user manuals.
Job Requirements
  • Experience: 7-10 years in a similar role with substantial experience in Finance applications.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP (FI, CO, TRM, FSCM) and non-SAP systems related to Finance and Controlling.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the commodity trading sector is advantageous.
  • Skills: Problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
  • Masters degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Degrees: Masters degree in a relevant field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in a senior consultant or similar role focusing on Finance and Controlling business processes and applications.
  • Hands-on experience with both SAP and non-SAP Finance management systems.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in the commodity trading industry.
  • Previous involvement in large-scale projects and change management initiatives.
  • In-depth understanding of Finance and Controlling processes and best practices.
  • In-depth understanding of Finance related SAP and non-SAP application environments.
