  • Develop and maintain a diversecollection of physical books, periodicals, digital content, andother resources for Halcon employees.
  • Performsprofessional library work in collection development, recommendssubscriptions or acquisitions accordingly, and evaluates therelevance and quality of digital and printmaterial.
  • Oversee the implementation andmanagement of the library's digital cataloging andcirculation system.
  • Organize and classifyphysical and digital materials according to standard libraryclassification systems (e.g. Dewey DecimalClassification).
  • Create metadata and tags toenhance and facilitate efficient searching within the digitallibrary.
  • Assist employees in locating andaccessing both physical and digital resources and provide technicalsupport to employees to navigate the digital library platform anddigital resources.
  • Developing trainingmaterials for employees on the use of digital libraryresources.
  • Provide reference services, answerinquiries, and offer guidance on research methods and informationretrieval.
  • Stay informed about copyright lawsand licensing agreements to ensure that the library'sdigital collection adheres to copyright regulations and licensingterms.
  • Conduct research to identify emergingtechnologies and digital trends related to digitallibraries

Experience &Education Qualifications:

  • Minimum: 1-2 years of libraryexperience, ability to manage a library's physicalcollection and familiarity with library cataloging systems,knowledge of digital library management systems and digital assets,technological proficiency, ability to adapt to new technologies anddigital trends in the library field.
  • Minimum:Bachelor's Degree in English or History, or a related fieldfrom a recognised Institution
  • Preferred: 2+years of experience in a corporate environment/ Arabic language asmother tongue
  • Preferred: Master'sdegree in Library and Information Science(MLS)
  • Knowledge of digital library managementsystems and digital asset management, and the ability totroubleshoot digital platforms
