We are seeking a skilled and experiencedChargehand Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team in DubaiUnited Arab Emirates. As a Chargehand Carpenter you will lead andsupervise a team of carpenters while ensuring highqualityworkmanship and adherence to safety standards on variousconstruction projects throughout thecity.

  • Oversee and coordinate carpentrywork on construction sites ensuring tasks are completed efficientlyand to the highest standards
  • Interpretblueprints technical drawings and specifications to plan andexecute carpentry projects
  • Assign tasks to teammembers and provide guidance and support asneeded
  • Perform advanced carpentry workincluding framing finishing and customwoodworking
  • Ensure proper use and maintenanceof tools and equipment
  • Monitor and maintaininventory of materials and supplies
  • Conductregular quality checks and inspections of completedwork
  • Collaborate with other trades and projectmanagers to coordinate work schedules and resolveissues
  • Enforce safety regulations and bestpractices on the job site
  • Train and mentorjunior carpenters to develop their skills andexpertise
  • Prepare progress reports andcommunicate project status tomanagement

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 yearsof experience as Chargehand in the Bridge ConstructionIndustry
  • Advanced carpentry skills andproficiency in various woodworkingtechniques
  • Ability to read and interpretblueprints technical drawings andspecifications
  • Extensive knowledge of carpentrytools equipment and materials
  • Strong leadershipand team management skills
  • Excellentproblemsolving abilities and attention todetail
  • Effective communication skills inEnglish both verbal and written
  • High schooldiploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship incarpentry preferred
  • Relevant safetycertifications (e.g. OSHA)
  • Thoroughunderstanding of construction industry standards building codes andregulations
  • Physical stamina and ability towork in various weather conditions
  • Willingnessto work flexible hours and travel to different project sites withinDubai
  • Valid UAE drivers licensepreferred
