As a Chargehand - Carpenter, you will lead and supervise a team of carpenters while ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards on various construction projects throughout the city.Oversee and coordinate carpentry work on construction sites, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standardsInterpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan and execute carpentry projectsAssign tasks to team members and provide guidance and support as neededPerform advanced carpentry work, including framing, finishing, and custom woodworkingEnsure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipmentMonitor and maintain inventory of materials and suppliesConduct regular quality checks and inspections of completed workCollaborate with other trades and project managers to coordinate work schedules and resolve issuesEnforce safety regulations and best practices on the job siteTrain and mentor junior carpenters to develop their skills and expertisePrepare progress reports and communicate project status to managementQualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience as Chargehand in the Bridge Construction IndustryAdvanced carpentry skills and proficiency in various woodworking techniquesAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specificationsExtensive knowledge of carpentry tools, equipment, and materialsStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detailEffective communication skills in English, both verbal and writtenHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry preferredRelevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA)Thorough understanding of construction industry standards, building codes, and regulationsPhysical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditionsWillingness to work flexible hours and travel to different project sites within DubaiValid UAE driver's license preferredSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionCivil Engineering#J-18808-Ljbffr
