The Manager, Special Projects& Performance role is part of the regional Chief BusinessOffice organizational structure. The role involves analyzingtalabat's business performance, preparing data-driveninsights for senior management, conducting in-depth market analysesto unlock topline and bottomline opportunities, leading specialprojects, and ensuring talabat is on track to hit PnLtargets.

What'sOn YourPlate?

This rolewill help drive strategic projects and generate insights for thebusiness. The individual will be working very closely with seniormanagement and be responsible for four main scopes:

  • Reporting BusinessPerformance:
  • Analyze Data: Dive intotalabat's performance metrics, identifying key trends,anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • PrepareReports: Create comprehensive and insightful reports for seniormanagement, highlighting key drivers of change and actionableinsights.
  • Communicate Findings: Presentfindings in a clear and concise manner, often translating complexdata into understandable recommendations fordecision-makers.
  • Conducting Analytical DeepDives:
  • Country-Specific Analysis: Performdetailed analyses of different talabat markets, focusing onidentifying turnaround opportunities, growth and profitabilityareas.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Workwith various departments to understand and address cross-functionalissues impacting business performance.
  • StrategyDevelopment: Develop and recommend strategies based on analysis toimprove overall performance and achieve businessobjectives.
  • Special projects: Launching newproducts: Develop business use cases with innovative ideas andbring them to life by working on their implementation, ensuringthey align with strategic goals and add value to thebusiness.
  • PnLmanagement
  • Budgeting: Collaborate with localteams to develop talabat's yearly budget, setting growthand profitability goals.
  • PnL management: Ensurethat budgets are adhered to consistently across the organizationand proactively identify and pursue opportunities to exceedfinancial targets and enhance overall profitability.

  • Abilityto collaborate effectively with multiple departments, stakeholders,and teams to ensure the project'ssuccess.
  • Building and maintaining relationshipswith key individuals across various functions (e.g., marketing,finance, operations, IT).
  • Coordinating the workof different departments or teams, ensuring smooth communicationand alignment on project goals.

3.Leadership and TeamManagement

  • Leading andmotivating a diverse project team, often made up of members fromdifferent backgrounds and skillsets.
  • Delegatingtasks efficiently, ensuring team members have clearresponsibilities and understand their roles in theproject.
  • Providing guidance and support to theteam throughout the project, resolving issues and ensuringperformance remains high.

4.Problem-solving and CriticalThinking

  • Ability toanalyze complex problems and find creative solutions to overcomechallenges that arise during the projectlifecycle.
  • Identifying and addressing anyissues that could delay or derail the project, making adjustmentsto keep everything on track.
  • Thinkingstrategically to align the project with organizational goals andadapting to changingcircumstances.

5.CommunicationSkills

  • Clearcommunication with internal and external stakeholders about projectprogress, challenges, and achievements.
  • Strongpresentation skills to report project status to senior managementand other relevant stakeholders.
  • The ability tocommunicate technical or complex details in an easy-to-understandmanner to non-technicalstakeholders.

6.Budgeting and ResourceManagement

  • Managing theproject budget, ensuring the project is completed within theallocated financial resources.
  • Allocatingresources effectively, ensuring the right people, technology, andmaterials are in place for projectsuccess.
  • Keeping track of project expenses andmaking sure the project stays financiallyviable.
