About theRole: 

The Guest ServiceAgent (Receptionist role) is the front liner under the generaldirection of the Front Office and within the limits of theestablished hotel policies and procedures who oversees and directsall aspects of the guest relation functions to achieve the highestpossible guestsatisfaction. 

Duties andResponsibilities: 

  • Toanticipate guest needs and handle guest inquiries in a helpful andattentive Anantara manner.
  • To have a completeknowledge of the hotel product including room types rates relativefeatures and facilities food and beverage outlets and promotionsspa and health club and other Anantaraproperties.
  • To take personal responsibility forthe service and attitude with which our guest service is beingdelivered and ensure it meets the highest standard of Anantara atall times.
  • Take personal responsibility forensuring all issues pertaining to guest satisfaction are met andthat follow up is completed on a timelybasis.
  • To be proactive and innovativesuggesting alternatives that meet guest needs in enjoying theirAnantara experience.
  • To develop a close andharmonious working relationship with all hoteldepartments
  • To attend hotel events daily shiftbriefings and training to improve professionalskills.
  • To perform check in and to hand outkeys.
  • To carry out visits and to accompanyguest to room.
  • To keep an accurate room statusat all times.
  • To deal with payment and creditcards.
  • To perform room moves andupgrades.
  • To perform checkout for guests toprepare bills and take payment.
  • To handle cashand foreign currency exchange.
  • To deal withspecial requests from guests such as ordering taxis booking theatretrips or storing valuables and luggage.
  • Toanswer questions about facilities in the hotel and the surroundingarea.
  • To deal with any guest complaints orproblems.
  • To inform reporting line for allguest complaints and requests by email attach with Guest IncidentReport.  
  • To forward callers to theappropriate extension/department.
  • To assist theManager Front Office/Assistant Manager Front Office withsecretarial duties.
  • To take booking requestafter office hours.
  • To assist with customerservice inquiries.
  • To ensure that the checklistis filled in each shift checked and approved by the superiors andsend on a daily basis to the reporting line.
  • Toensure the filing of customer bills.
  • To performaudit on guest bills.
  • To collect guestpreferences.
  • To upsell hotelfacilities.
  • To program keycards.
  • To assist with or accept otherresponsibilities in the office as required or requested by theleader on duty.
  • To be responsible for their owncash floats.
  • To adhere to policies andprocedures in regard to appearance hygiene and sanitationenforced.
  • To attend Training given by reportingline.
  • To carry out any associated clericalduties as and whenrequired.

Qualifications:

  • High Schooldiploma
  • Previous experience in sameposition for at least 1 year.
  • Luxuryhotel experience is a must
  • Passion forexcellent service
  • Excellent team player andgreat communicationskills
