Roles and responsibilities

Responsible to manage and superviseElectrical, Instrument / Control, Telecom teams withinDDW

· Able to manage teams size of100+ Engineers and designers

· Planand supervise activities for multiple FEED, Detail Design andProduction engineering activities/projects.

· Plan, organize, prioritizeand successfully execute tasks in accordance with businessobjectives

· Utilize ResourcesEfficiently to minimize Man hours spent onprojects.

· Assuring technicalintegrity of all EICT engineering deliverables for all relevantprojects, inter discipline coordination, managing the progress ofassigned engineering scope in line with PMTrequirement

· Planning &execution for engineering activities related to Offshore hook-up& Pre-Shut down, Shutdown & Post Shutdownactivity

· Providing technical supportand coordinating preparation of operating philosophies, designcalculations and system studies (Load Flow, Large Motor Starting,SC, Transient, Harmonics Analysis, Relay Coordination, Earthing) byusing ETAP software

· Contribute tothe identification of opportunities for continuous improvement ofsystems, quality of outputs, processes and practices taking intoaccount best engineering practice, improvement of businessprocesses, cost reduction and productivity improvement within EITengineering disciplines.

· ConductEngineering audits, risk assessment and training asrequired

· Broad technical knowledgeof Electrical Power systems & Controls, Telecom &Navigation systems, Process Control System, ESD and Fire &Gas systems, Integrated Automation Systems etc. covering Basic,Detail and Production Engineering for Marine, FPSO, FSO, FSRU andOffshore Platform Projects

· Knowledgeand experienced in developing Datasheets / RFQ and follow on TBEtill vendor selection for EICT EquipmentPackages

· Experienced in developingDatasheets / RFQ and follow on TBE till vendor selection for EICTEquipment Packages

· Thoroughknowledge of HV and LV System design, integration andinstallation

· Broad technicalknowledge of installation and commissioning of EICTsystems

· Well versed withClassification rules and Engineering Standards applicable for EICTSystems

· Strong background withresolution of technical issues during projects planning andexecution phases

· Demonstratedability to plan, organize, prioritize and successfully executetasks in accordance with businessobjectives

· Project managementskills

· Experience in marineprojects, offshore topsides, facilities including FPSO, FSRU, FSO,Drilling rigs, HVAC/HVDC and Process platforms for majorprojects

· Experience with performingas per IEC/IEEE, UL, NORSOK, API, NEMA, CAP-437, CAAP-71 standards,a proficient knowledge and understanding of ABS, DNV_GL, LR, BVclassification requirements and IMO, SOLASregulations

· Thorough knowledge onDCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI, Network & CommunicationProtocols

•15 years relevant experiencein shipyard, offshore / oil & gas industry in designoffice.


•Minimum 5 years of experienceas Lead EICT in EngineeringOffice


•Experience in power distribution& safety.


• Project managementexperience in high value projects.


•Working experience in major Production / Construction sites andheavy industrial segments.


• Experiencein offshore HVDC & HVAC systems

  2. SoftwareDevelopment: Knowledge of software engineeringprinciples and proficiency in programming languages such as Python,Java, C#, or C++ to support integrationefforts.
  3. HardwareIntegration: Understanding how hardware components(e.g., sensors, controllers, actuators) interact with software andother devices in the system.
  4. APIDevelopment and Integration: Familiarity withdeveloping, consuming, and integrating APIs (REST, SOAP) to connectdifferent systems andplatforms.
  5. Networking:Proficiency in networking concepts, protocols, and technologiessuch as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and VPN to support integration acrossdistributedsystems.

System DesignandArchitecture

  1. SystemArchitecture: Ability to design and document thearchitecture of integrated systems, ensuring scalability,flexibility, andmaintainability.
  2. CloudIntegration: Experience with integrating cloud-basedsystems (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with on-premise systemsfor hybrid solutions.
  3. Data FlowDesign: Designing the flow of data between systems,ensuring correct mapping, transformation, and validation betweendifferent platforms.
  4. DatabaseIntegration: Expertise in integrating databases(SQL, NoSQL) into systems, managing data synchronization, andensuring dataconsistency.
  5. MicroservicesArchitecture: Familiarity with microservicesarchitecture to break down complex systems into modular,independently deployableservices.

Testing andDebugging

  1. SystemTesting: Conducting unit, integration, and systemtests to ensure all components work together asexpected.
  2. PerformanceTesting: Testing integrated systems for performance,load handling, and response times, and optimizing performance wherenecessary.
  3. Troubleshooting andDebugging: Identifying and resolving integrationissues, such as system conflicts, data mismatches, or communicationerrors.
  4. AutomatedTesting: Using automated testing tools (e.g.,Selenium, Jenkins, TestNG) to perform regression tests and ensurecontinued functionality as new integrationsoccur.

ProjectManagement andCoordination

  1. ProjectPlanning: Defining integration goals, timelines, anddeliverables to ensure that integration projects stay on track andmeet deadlines.
  2. Cross-functionalCollaboration: Coordinating with development teams,hardware engineers, quality assurance, and other departments toensure integration requirements aremet.
  3. Documentation:Writing clear and comprehensive technical documentation thatdetails integration processes, data flow, system configurations,and troubleshootingprocedures.
