JobPurpose: 

  • Providingindustry and subject matter expertise for the Bank across theidentified FIG franchise to manage and grow the FIG clientportfolio. Accountable for maintaining strategic dialogue with theassigned portfolio of FIG clients including the origination oftransactions and broader client portfolio and team management whereappropriate.

    Markets in scope include CIS (e.g. ArmeniaAzerbaijan Belarus Georgia Kazakhstan Kyrgyzstan Moldova MongoliaRussia Turkmenistan) and EasternEurope.

KeyAccountabilities: 

BusinessOrigination andExecution:

  • Originatetransactions with FIG clients across FAB products (Primarily GTBGlobal Markets and Corporate Finance).
  • DeliverFIG market knowledge to clients acting as a thought leader for FIGexternally and internally.
  • Translate externalmarket trends into business opportunities identifying client needsand solutions.
  • Identify and developcrossselling opportunities and increase the crosssell ratio withkeyclients.

Clientand MarketAnalysis:

  • Maintaininsight into market developments in all relevant subsectors andgeographies.
  • Develop an external marketpresence (through attendance at relevant external events mediainterviews etc) to promote FAB FIG particularly across MENA in theassigned geographies and in other relevantforums.
  • Participate in the financial analysisof clients and their markets to identify opportunities andrisks.

StrategicDirection:

  • Develop theassigned teams strategy and business plan to increase the Banksshare of the client wallet.
  • Maintain closeinteraction with Product teams and other stakeholders to maximisebusiness opportunities with clients while fostering strategies todrive idea generation.
  • Ensure the assignedportfolio is managed to enhance the returns and profitability ofthe portfolio.
  • Act as a senior ambassador forthe FAB brand and the FIGbusiness.

PeopleManagement:

  • Manage theachievement of assigned objectives through effective teamleadership including the setting of individual objectives regularperformance management developing and motivatingstaff.
  • Attract train mentor staff upskillingand upgrading talent wherenecessary.

Budgetingand FinancialPlanning:

  • Manage therevenue responsibility of the assigned team achieving targetswithin defined budgetlevels.

ClientRelationshipManagement:

  • Examine andresolve credit market and operational risk aspects of transactionsin collaboration with Product and otherstakeholders.
  • Maintain the credit quality ofclient relationships within the assigned portfolio at an acceptablelevel set by the Banks management and Credit Riskpolicies.
  • Ensure Key Account Plans are preparedand maintained for all key clients.
  • Ensurecredit reviews are submitted on time and agreed conditions aremet.
  • Maintain a satisfactory audit outcome forthe portfolio / teamactivities.

DaytoDayActivities:

  • Ensure thatinternal processes for existing portfolio and NTBs are in line withthe Banks policies and procedures.
  • Work closelywith Credit Risk to maintain acceptable Credit quality of theportfolio.
  • Adhere to process KPIs ORM BCPInternal Audit requirements KYC and other internal and externalrequirements.

PoliciesSystems Processes andProcedures:

  • Follow allrelevant policies processes standard operating procedures andinstructions so that work is carried out in a controlled andconsistentmanner.

MISand Reports:

Review and analysefinancial statements MIS and reports to keep track of performanceagainstbudgets.

Qualifications:

MinimumExperience:

      •  
  • 10years experience in FIG and/or corporate and investment bankingwith a focus on client coverage.
  • Relevant FIGexperience of the markets in scope being Russia CIS and othergeographies in Central Asia asassigned.
  • Russianspeaker.

MinimumQualification:

      •  
  • Bachelorsdegree in finance or relateddiscipline.
  • Masters degree in businessadministration or equivalent ispreferred.

KnowledgeSkills and Attributes:

      •  
  • Knowledgeof the banking sector and FABs products and businessstrategies.
  • Knowledge of FIG sector dynamicsfinancing requirements and client buyingbehaviours.
  • Ability to maintain strategicdialogue with CSuite executives.
  • Ability toproactively originate business and drive ideageneration.
  • Ability to work under pressure andadjust quickly to changing priorities.
  • Abilityto analyse and research information.
  • Bankingsoftware systems proficiency.
  • Data analysis andfinancial modelling skills.
  • Credit analysisskills.
