Roles and responsibilities
  • Plans, examines, analyzes,evaluates, and supervises the Security Operations, inclusive ofphysical security, assets, andpersonnel.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor theimplementation of security standards, policies, and procedures(including physical security, fire prevention, vehicles traffic,and security systems) to set the general plan, direction andoutcome of the security function.
  • Develop theannual business and financial (budget) plan for the securityfunction in consultation with top management and other internalfunctions (Finance, HR, etc.), to align with the strategicobjectives, prioritize activities, and controlcost.
  • Plan and manage all Security Activitiesto safeguard the assets, employees, tenants, and customers, and toalign the activities with other functions andstakeholders.
  • Set the operating standards forthe Operation of Central Command & Control Room and alllocal Security Control Rooms, to identify potential problems orareas for improvement.
  • Develop and manage theoperations of the Security Call Center, Monitoring Systems, Access(Electronic) Control, and reporting tools to detect and minimizesecurity issues.
  • Develop and oversee theVisitors Management procedures to control physical access todesignated areas.
  • Plan and manage the Eventsand VIP Security and Safety (according to size, location, nature,attendees, etc.) to mitigate known risks, prevent injuries,properties damage, etc.
  • Develop and manageproviding unmatched Security Concierge Services, SecurityCheckpoints, and Patrolling at specified locations, to ensureoverall safety and security of buildings tenants andvisitors.
  • Manage the risk assessment, threatsidentification and potential consequences to develop necessarymitigations, response, and emergency plan.
  • Setup and oversee the execution of Emergency Response and DisasterControl to reduce losses and harmful effects to properties andpeople.
  • Analyses and determines the securityon-going needs of Security Logistics (including resources,supplies, equipment, and technology) to help deliver the mostefficient security services.
  • Manage theidentification, investigation, and resolution of all SecurityBreaches, to identify gaps, minimize losses and prevent them fromrecurring.
  • Coordinate with all governmentalbodies (MOI, Medics, Civil Defence, etc.) reviews, evaluations, andinvestigations to bridge security gaps, share information/expertisefor the benefit of the business strategy.

  • Security OperationsManagement:

    • Assist inthe daily operations of the security department, overseeing thework of security personnel, ensuring the proper execution ofsecurity protocols.
    • Ensure the effectiveoperation of security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control, etc.),maintaining logs, and troubleshooting any issues with securityequipment.
    • Monitor security activities acrossvarious shifts, ensuring appropriate coverage and that proceduresarefollowed.

  • StaffTraining andDevelopment:

    • Train andeducate security staff on policies, procedures, andprotocols.
    • Conduct regular drills for emergencysituations like fires, evacuations, or medicalemergencies.
    • Oversee the recruitment,scheduling, and performance management of securitypersonnel.

  • RiskManagement and IncidentResponse:

    • Conductregular risk assessments of the premises, identifying potentialvulnerabilities and developing mitigationstrategies.
    • Respond to security incidents,accidents, or breaches, documenting all incidents and takingcorrective actions where necessary.
    • Ensure theprompt reporting of security breaches and follow up oninvestigations.

  • EmergencyPreparedness:

    • Developand enforce emergency response procedures, ensuring all personnelare familiar with evacuation plans, fire drills, and crisismanagement protocols.
    • Act as a point of contactduring emergencies, ensuring proper coordination between securityteams, management, and emergencyresponders.

  • PolicyImplementation andCompliance:

    • Assist inthe development, implementation, and enforcement of securitypolicies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance withall security-related regulations, laws, and organizationalstandards.
    • Regularly audit security processesto ensure they meet compliance and performancestandards.

  • Collaborationwith ExternalAuthorities:

    • Act as aliaison with local law enforcement, fire departments, or otheremergency services when needed.
    • Coordinatesecurity activities with local authorities in the event of asecurity breach or large-scaleincident.

  • ReportingandDocumentation:

    • Maintainaccurate records of security activities, incidents, and accidents,producing detailed reports for managementreview.
    • Analyze security data and incidents toidentify trends and areas for improvement in policies andprocedures.
    • Prepare regular security updatesfor senior management, identifying risks and improvementsneeded.

  • SecurityTechnologyManagement:

    • Oversee theinstallation, maintenance, and functionality of security systems,including surveillance cameras, alarms, and access controlsystems.
    • Ensure proper surveillance andmonitoring of high-risk areas, handling data collection andanalysis from securitysystems.
