Roles and responsibilities

The Director,Government Relations will interact with Real-Estate authorities andother government agencies across the region to represent andprotect the organization's business plans and interests aswell as to make sure the best practices are shared betweenregulators of different countries. This role will oversee andmanage a liaison program between the organization and variouslegislative entities.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Proactively monitors, analyzes,interprets and steers government programs, policies, legislationsand other activities that impact the companystrategy
  • Provides advice on the implicationsdue to regulatory agenda based on companystrategy.
  • Evaluates emerging and longer-termopportunities and threats from potential policy changes and advisessenior management accordingly
  • Creates and/oridentifies opportunities for government officials to participate inPF activities, events andinitiatives
  • Collaborate with all internalstakeholders to proactively project manage a solid cross-functionalPF government agenda
  • Support the drafting ofmedia and other communications and support materials aimed atadvancing the broader advocacy goals of PropertyFinder
  • Joins trade associations and industrycommittees and seeks leadershiproles.
  • Collaborates with industry advocates tobuild areas of common interest.

DesiredQualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in BusinessAdministration, Political Science, Public Relations, or relatedfield required; MBA or law degreepreferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience inadvocacy or public policy required.
  • ExcellentProject Management Skills and use of PMtools.
  • Public speaking, communication skills,presentation skills, data translationskills.
  • Native Arabic and Fluent English is amust.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiationskills.
  • Strong governmentcontacts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solvingskills.
