Roles and responsibilities

Summary:The ideal candidate would be an experienced Engineerwith formal qualifications and would have the following keyskills:

  • Should haveexperience in installing feed gas compressor to deliver gas to thedesired operating parameters (mainly desiredpressure).
  • Should have experience inLiquefaction and fractionation of Natural Gas(LNG).
  • Experience in Integrating NitrogenRejection Unit.
  • Fuel Gassystem.
  • Import power from nationalgrid.
  • Air Coolingsystem.
  • Instrument / Plant AirSystems.
  • Fire Watersystem.
  • Desalinated waterplant.
  • Should have EPC experience in a LargeLNG plant.

Anticipated Roles AndResponsibilities

  • A Civil Engineering degreeholder.
  • 18+ years or more experience in the Oil& Gas industry
  • A minimum of 6-8years' experience as a Lead Civil Construction Engineerin the Oil & Gas Projects.
  • At least 5years' experience working as a Lead Civil ConstructionEngineer in the Middle EastCountries
  • Responsible for the implementation ofconstruction work processes, project procedures and instructionswithin assigned operations. Ensure subcontractors are working withlatest issued documents and drawings.
  • Design ofsteel structures using state of art software such as STAAD PRO,MAT3D, FOUNDATION 3D (including connection detailing whereverrequired) such as pipe racks, shelters, access platforms, sheetpiles, equipment supporting structures, pipe supports, steelmodules for in-situ as well as transportation/lifting/installationconditions.
  • Prefer global EPC Contractor orSub-Contractor experience.
  • Having leadershipquality to manage all indirect and direct manpower on site anddeliver the planned progress.
  • Excellent verbaland written communication skills (English)

  • Project Planning andDesign:

    • Lead theplanning, design, and analysis of civil engineering projects,ensuring they meet technical specifications, safety standards, andclient requirements.
    • Oversee the preparation ofdesign drawings, technical reports, and projectdocumentation.
    • Coordinate with architects,structural engineers, and other professionals to ensure theintegration of various systems anddesigns.

  • TeamLeadership andManagement:

    • Manage andmentor a team of civil engineers, designers, and drafters,providing technical guidance and fosteringcollaboration.
    • Review and approve engineeringdesigns, calculations, and other deliverables submitted by theteam.
    • Ensure that all team members adhere toproject schedules, budgets, and qualitystandards.

  • ProjectManagement:

    • Develop andmanage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation toensure timely delivery.
    • Lead the coordinationof project activities across different departments, stakeholders,and contractors.
    • Monitor and control projectprogress, addressing any delays, issues, or risks that arise duringthe projectlifecycle.

  • QualityControl andAssurance:

    • Implementquality control processes to ensure that all designs andconstruction activities comply with industry codes, standards, andclient specifications.
    • Conduct siteinspections, audits, and reviews to ensure the quality and safetyof work at all stages of the project.
    • Ensureadherence to environmental and safety regulations duringconstruction and designphases.

  • Contractorand VendorManagement:

    • Evaluateand select contractors, suppliers, and vendors based on projectrequirements, cost, and performancecriteria.
    • Oversee the procurement of materials,equipment, and services, ensuring that they meet the necessaryspecifications.
    • Manage and resolve any issueswith subcontractors and vendors to maintain project timelines andqualitystandards.

  • Riskand SafetyManagement:

    • Identifypotential risks related to the design, construction, and executionof civil engineering projects.
    • Implement riskmitigation strategies and ensure that safety protocols are followedthroughout the project lifecycle.
    • Conductsafety assessments and ensure that the project complies withhealth, safety, and environmentalregulations.

  • Clientand StakeholderCommunication:

    • Act asthe primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and otherproject participants.
    • Provide regular updateson project progress, challenges, andmilestones.
    • Ensure that client requirements andexpectations are met and address any concerns or feedback in atimelymanner.
