PositionOverview:

Asa Physical Education Teacher at The Spanish School of Abu Dhabi youwill create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment forprimary and secondary students. You will play a vital role infostering their physical social and emotional development withinour multicultural setting. We seek educators who can implement astudentcentered learning approach maintain high standards andutilize creative teaching methodologies. This role requires dualaccreditation to teach in both primary and secondary cycles inSpain.

Responsibilities:

  1. Inclusiveclassroomenvironment:create a welcoming classroom that promotes a sense of belonging forstudents from diverse culturalbackgrounds.
  2. Curriculumdevelopment:develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with theSpanish curriculum tailored to meet the needs of students withvarying abilities and languageproficiency.
  3. Interactiveteaching:Foster a love for learning by incorporating creative and activeteaching methodologies to make lessons interactive handson andenjoyable.
  4. Clearlearningobjectives:establish and communicate clear learning objectives to studentsensuring they understand academic and behavioralexpectations.
  5. Individualizedsupport:provide individualized attention and support to students adaptingteaching strategies to accommodate their unique strengthsweaknesses and learningstyles.
  6. Technologyintegration:utilize technology and instructional resources to enhance thelearning experience and promote digital literacy amongstudents.
  7. Studentassessment:assess and evaluate student progress regularly through variousformative and summative assessment methods providing timelyfeedback to students andparents/guardians.
  8. Collaborativeprojects:collaborate with other teachers to develop interdisciplinaryprojects and activities that integrate different subjects andpromote critical thinking creativity and problemsolvingskills.
  9. Communityinvolvement:encourage student participation in community service initiativescultural events and extracurricular activities to foster socialresponsibility and globalawareness.
  10. Parentalcommunication:maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardiansproviding regular updates on their childs academic progress andaddressing anyconcerns.
  11. Classroommanagement:establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environmentimplementing effective behavior management strategies and promotingpositive disciplinepractices.

Workinghours:

  • Mondayto friday 7:30 am to 4:30pm.
  • Earlybird program and afternoon dismissal will be on a rotatingschedule.
  • Schoolholidays follow the calendar approved byADEK


Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Primary Education Grado en Educaci nPrimaria with a specialization in Physical EducationMenci n en Educaci n F sica plusadditional qualifications for Secondary teaching.
  • Teachingcertification/license or equivalent qualifications recognized bythe relevant educationalauthorities.
  • Provenexperience teaching primary/secondary students preferably in amulticultural or internationalsetting.
  • NativespeakerofSpanish.ProficiencyinEnglishisessential.
  • Knowledgeof the Spanish curriculum and familiarity with innovative teachingmethodologies and active learningstrategies.
  • Strongclassroom management skills with the ability to create a positiveand inclusive learningenvironment.
  • Excellentcommunicationandinterpersonalskillstocollaborateeffectivelywithstudentsparents/guardians and colleagues from diversebackgrounds.
  • Flexibilityadaptability and a willingness to embrace the multicultural settingof theschool.
