The GTB Business Finance function isresponsible for all finance matters specific to the GTB businessincluding but not limited to Performance Control ForecastingBudgeting & Strategy. In addition the function provides akey support role to other Group Finance functions Treasury CentralFP&A Tax as well as Financial & RegulatoryReporting.

Key priorities of thisrole include:

  • SupportGTB Business Finance in implementing a strong financial governanceframework across the UAE and International locations encompassingperformance reviews budgeting process financial control regulatoryand internal audit matters country strategy and internal / externalcommunication.
  • Act as a trusted advisor onbusiness performance and main point of contact for respondingspecific business requirement.
  • Providingindepth Financial Analysis for Global Transaction Banking (GTB)provide value added insight & support to business inachieving their target.
  • Contribute fully totransforming FAB Finance through engagement in varioustransformationinitiatives.

Effectively coordinatecommunicate and build excellent relationships with key stakeholdersacross Finance and GTBBusiness.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • FinancialControl & GovernanceOversight
    • ReviewGTB daily P&L investigate and Analyse the Variances. Anymaterial variations to be flagged and remediated with relevantOperations and IT team.
    • Regularly assess andinvestigate when required the integrity of financialinformation.
    • Assist Account controller tomanage and review all accounts that falls under GTB business.Perform Conformance testing on a sample list of accounts incoordination with GFC.
    • Ensure Group AOV policyis fully adhered to and confirm appropriate classification ofaccounts and ageing.
    • Provide attestation andensure signoff in One FC in a timely manner without any redflags.
    • Coordinate with GFC to maintain andsupport the framework of financialcontrols.
    • Ensure zero unsatisfactory auditpoint.
    • Maintain SOPs for all processes andtasks that falls under GTB business finance documented withrelevant approvals
    • Review and ensure GTBproduct papers covering Trade Cash and OD are appropriatelyreflecting detailed accounting schema including VAT containing GLproductcategory.
      • GTBProjects & BRDsReview
        • SupportHoGTB Finance in reviewing the Capex P/L benefits such as revenuescost savings and KPIs are appropriately captured in BCDdocuments.
        • Assess profitability of new projectsand challenge business on ROI
        • Maintainrepository of approved BRDs to review at a later stage to challengebusiness.
        • Work with GTB Channels and productteam to gain full understanding of projects and itsbenefits.
        • Collaborate with business and CPMO onValue reporting of projects that wentlive.
        • Critically assess KPIs once the projectsare live on an ongoing basis.
        • Develop GTBProjects Capex reports providing a view on YoY spending andchallenge business on benefitsaccrual.
          • PerformanceReporting & Exceptionreports
            • Workclosely with FPA & FR to develop exception reports toensure integrity of financial and management reporting. Eg:Negative Income
            • Collaborate with FP&Ato design and develop new MI reports that provides newperspective.
            • Liaise with GT on FTP relatedqueries from business covering Tradeproducts.
            • Assist HoGTB in reviewing anddeveloping analytics around ECL & RWA to proactivelymonitor and assess if there any optimisationinitiatives.
            • Liaise with Trade Riskdistribution team and ensure risk participation payouts are accruedin respective period without any lag.
            • Work withRisk and CAD to ensure Risk distribution numbers are consumed forcRWAcalculation.
              • Transformationand ContinuousImprovement
                • Supportongoing finance transformation projects in liaison with widerfinance teams such as UAT participationetc.
                • Seek to identify and recommend changesthat improves Customer Satisfaction andproductivity.

Qualifications:

MinimumQualification

  • Professionalqualifications preferred e.g. ACA CPAMBA
  • Selfstarter with experience in financialanalysis and performance analysisdesired
  • Strong presentation skills and adept inMS Productivity tools e.g. MS PowerPoint and MSExcel
  • Technical knowledge of Corporate& Investment Banking products. Senior level of experiencein finance analysis strategic planning banking and financialmarkets with ability to interpret key bank ratios and economicindicators.
  • Proven ability in direct managementof a finance team from a leading InternationalBank(s)
  • Proven ability in liaising &dealing with Business leaders GCFO Enablement heads Auditors& external consultants.
  • Excellentcommunication skills with a high degree of personal integrity whocan deliver under pressure
  • Commerciallyoriented mindset and keen awareness of significant trends infinancial markets and banking
  • Ability to useand apply key strategic concepts models andtools.
