Roles and responsibilities

Supply Chain Planner will beresponsible for creating and managing the supply planning processwithin the FMCG distribution industry for food products. They willwork closely with Demand Planner, Clearing & Forwarding,Warehouse and Finance teams to ensure that Supply planning isaccurate and aligned with business goals.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Reviewand reconcile pending orders to maintain in-boundaccuracy
  • Applying permits required and followup on the approval to have seamlessoperations
  • Surveillance on certificationvalidity with regulatory team
  • Managingend-to-end logistics requirement pertaining to Businessscope
  • Co-packing initiation and follow up withall the stakeholders involved
  • Managingend-to-end shipment tracking and recording of shipment leadtime
  • Resolving shipment discrepancies to followTAT agreement
  • Monitor Band principalperformance Via scorecard

Experience &Qualifications:

  • Bachelor'sdegree in supply chain management or relatedfield.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of Supply Planningexperience within FMCGindustry.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE &ABILITIES:

  • Stronganalytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and other dataanalysis tools.
  • Experience in similar industrywith end-to-end supply chainunderstanding.
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP andother software packages including Microsoft Excel andOffice.
  • Excellent communication andcollaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively withcross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solvingskills, with the ability to identify and address issuesproactively.
  • Knowledge of supply chain bestpractices, including S&OP and inventoryoptimization.

1.DemandForecasting

  • DataAnalysis: The ability to analyze historical data,trends, and market conditions to predict future demand forproducts.
  • Statistical Tools andTechniques: Familiarity with forecasting models suchas moving averages, exponential smoothing, and regression analysisto create accurate demandforecasts.
  • Collaboration:Working closely with sales, marketing, and production teams togather input and refine demand predictions based on marketintelligence and customerinsights.

2. InventoryManagement

  • StockControl: Ensuring that the right amount of inventoryis available at the right time to meet demand while minimizingexcess stock orstockouts.
  • ReplenishmentStrategies: Setting up inventory reorder points,safety stock levels, and lead times to avoid shortages or overstocksituations.
  • InventoryOptimization: Using techniques such as Just-in-Time(JIT) or Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) to maintain an optimalbalance between inventory cost and servicelevels.

3. Supply ChainOptimization

  • ProcessImprovement: Continuously analyzing and improvingthe efficiency of supply chain processes, from procurement todistribution, to reduce costs and improve servicelevels.
  • SupplierManagement: Ensuring that suppliers can meet demandrequirements, including monitoring lead times, capacity, andquality.
  • LogisticsCoordination: Efficiently managing transportationand warehousing to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery ofgoods.

4. ERP &Supply Chain ManagementSoftware

  • ERPSystems: Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics to manageinventory, orders, and data flows within theorganization.
  • Supply ChainPlanning Tools: Familiarity with specialized supplychain planning software (e.g., Kinaxis RapidResponse, JDA, anddemand planning modules) to optimize procurement, inventory, andproduction schedules.
  • DataVisualization: Using tools like Microsoft Excel,Tableau, or Power BI to analyze and present supply chain dataeffectively.

5.Problem-Solving and CriticalThinking

  • RootCause Analysis: The ability to identify underlyingissues in supply chain disruptions, such as inventory shortages,production delays, or logisticalchallenges.
  • DecisionMaking: Making data-driven decisions to balanceconflicting priorities, such as cost reduction versus inventoryavailability or customer servicelevels.
  • Adaptability:Quickly adapting to changing market conditions, customer demands,and supply chain disruptions, such as raw material shortages ortransportation bottlenecks.
