TheMaintenance Technician is responsiblefor ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment inthe production facility. This includes performing preventivemaintenance troubleshooting and repairs to minimize downtime andenhance productivity. The role requires close coordination withproduction quality and safety teams to maintain compliance withoperational standards.

EssentialResponsibilities

1.Maintenance and Repair

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machinery toolsand equipment to minimize breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical electrical pneumatic andhydraulic issues to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Conduct emergency repairs and coordinate with externalservice providers when necessary.
  • Assist inthe installation and commissioning of new machinery andequipment.

2. Safetyand Compliance

  • Ensurecompliance with all safety and environmentalregulations.
  • Follow company policies andprocedures regarding machine maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and update logs asper regulatory and company requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potentialhazards and report them to management.

3. Inventory and Spare PartsManagement

  • Monitorand manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability whenneeded.
  • Work with procurement to sourcehighquality and costeffective spare parts and tools.
  • Ensure proper documentation of spare parts usage andreplenishment planning.

4. ProcessImprovement

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives toenhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Recommend and implement maintenance best practices toreduce operational costs.
  • Stay updated withnew technologies and maintenance strategies to enhance machineperformance.

Skillsand Qualifications

Education:

  • Diploma or certification inMechanical Electrical or IndustrialMaintenance.
  • Additionalcertifications in PLC programming welding orautomation are an advantage.

Experience:

  • 35 years ofexperience as a Maintenance Technicianin a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience inthe plastic manufacturing industry ispreferred.

TechnicalSkills:

  • Strongknowledge of electrical mechanical pneumatic andhydraulic systems.
  • Ability toread and interpret technical manuals schematics andblueprints.
  • Proficiency inusing maintenance managementsoftware.
  • Experience withpredictive and preventive maintenancetechniques.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problemsolving andtroubleshooting skills.
  • Strongattention to detail andorganizational abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of ateam.
  • Strongcommunication skills to coordinatewith crossfunctional teams.

Physical Demands and WorkingConditions

  • Regular standing lifting and movingequipment may be required.
