Let's paint the future together.Job ResponsibilitiesEnsures that maintenance of buildings, utility systems and facility equipment is carried out in accordance with quality, HSE and other established procedures and standards.Be an integral part of the contractor management and Management of Change (MoC) procedure on site.Ensures that preventative and active maintenance on all facets of buildings and equipment is carried out according to planning and ensures priorities are being followed which would be established by the Site Engineering Manager.Reviews and prioritizes "work orders" to complete jobs that are requested from concerned stakeholders.Diagnoses equipment problems, determines repair needs, repairs/replaces defective parts and is able to understand and use instruction manuals.Ensures that all vendors, contractors and visitors brought on site comply with appropriate HSE, Security policies and rules.Uses and coordinates external services for more complex work to allow safe and effective completion of jobs as deemed necessary.Must be able to issue work permits as per AkzoNobel guidelines after validation by the SRE.Works in liaison with HSE, Production and Logistics to embed the PSM framework.Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, implementing effective solutions.Conduct preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase reliability.Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.Provides technical guidance to maintenance technicians and the right tools to operate safely.Communicates targets and continuously measures and communicates status against these targets.Carry out root cause analysis and make recommendations to improve equipment availability.Accountable for 5S standards and improvements at the job sites and the maintenance department.Is the champion for driving operational equipment effectiveness and equipment reliability.Effectively builds and/or improves the site preventative maintenance, work order and SAP PM system.Ensure compliance of the preventive maintenance plan of the site.Maintain a log for inventory spares. Record the consumption on a monthly basis and reorder them liaising with the Site Engineering Manager.Is familiar and complies with all the applicable corporate as well as site and laboratory policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct, HSE and Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) standards.Document maintenance activities and inspections performed on the equipment.Train contractor workforce on the site's safety procedures.Engage in capital projects and work with the contractors to ensure new installations comply with relevant local, international and AkzoNobel standards.Works with internal customers to implement and sustain eco-efficiency projects and continuous improvement of inventory levels of engineering materials and spare parts.Reports on progress on a continuous base.Assist for PO and work order generation.Assist the Maintenance technician with all the breakdowns and PM jobs.ExperienceIn depth knowledge of equipment and its operational settings e.g. Powder coatings Mixer, Extruder, Mills and high-speed disperser.Minimum 5 years of experience in similar industry.Extensive knowledge of General Safety rules and measures in factory environment.Thorough knowledge of machines (mechanically and electrically).Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and tools.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and safety standards.Well versed in MS office.At AkzoNobel we are highly committed to ensuring an inclusive and respectful workplace where all employees can be their best self.
