Roles and responsibilities

The Senior Landscape Architect willbe responsible for leading the landscape design of variousprojects, working closely with clients, project managers, and otherdesign professionals to ensure successful project delivery. Thisrole focuses on delivering high-quality urban design projects forboth internal and external clients, with a strong emphasis onprofessional development and industryrecognition.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Create the project vision, produceconceptual sketches, and design reports.
  • Leadthe design process from the conceptual phase through toconstruction documentation, ensuring the design idea is consistentand accurately executed.
  • Prepare and developdrawings, models, images, and other documents relating to thedesign.
  • Meet with clients to discuss the designrequirements for new constructions, alterations, orrepairs.
  • Collaborate closely, whereappropriate, with members of the external design team and otherassociated organizations orcompanies.
  • Coordinate the design with alldisciplines, subconsultants, andstakeholders.
  • Proactively check and coordinateproject documents (including but not limited to multi-disciplinarydrawings, design reports, technical specifications, etc.) to ensurethey meet client requirements and industrystandards.
  • Take ownership for the preparationof discipline drawings for submission to the StatutoryAuthorities.
  • Develop knowledge of local andinternational codes, regulations, and submissionrequirements.
  • Set the overall strategy forproducing the documents and identify the sheets planned for eachstage of the work. This includes defining how data will beorganized into files and which elements will be incorporated in aBuilding Information Model (BIM).
  • Implement SID"Safety in Design" principles throughout thedesign process and ensure ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Structurethroughout projects.
  • Mentor and advise lessexperienced staff, participate in professional development reviews,and "Lessons Learned"sessions.
  • Provide urban design solutions fromconcept to detailed design.
  • Perform all phasesof the design process, including concept, schematic, and detaileddesign documentation.
  • Manage, coordinate, andlead urban design projectsindependently.
  • Consult with and manage designstakeholders for optimal projectoutcomes.
  • Supervise daily activities of aproject or design team, including work allocation and performancefeedback.
  • Lead the production of project designreports and detailing.
  • Prepare proposals andpricing information, and may lead proposals for routineprojects.
  • Communicate with clients aboutcurrent work and future needs, providing timely updates on projectprogress.
  • Collaborate closely with colleaguesacross service lines.
  • Supervise, support, andtrain less experienced team members.

Experience andKnowledge:

  • Bachelor's qualification inLandscape Architecture or similar.
  • Provenexperience, with at least 8 years working on medium to large-scaleprojects.
  • Extensive experience from conceptthrough to construction, across a range of project types includingresidential, commercial, hospitality, medical, leisure, education,and high-rise developments. Previous site experience would bebeneficial.
  • Strong design capabilities andpresentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit,InDesign, 3D rendering software.
  • Middle Eastexperience and working knowledge of design and constructionpractices specific to this region.
  • Strongknowledge of local codes, regulations, and submissionrequirements.
  • Experience in fast-track anddesign-to-budget projects.
  • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaborativelywith clients, team members, and otherstakeholders.
  • Strong coordinationskills.
  • Master planning experience is aplus.
  • Valid driver'slicense.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit,Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Lumion, andEnscape.
  • Ability to use Revit tools andelements in urban design documentation and create Revit family– parametric.
