The Beach House, a premier diningdestination in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is seeking a dynamicand experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team. As theRestaurant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeingall aspects of our beachfront establishment, ensuring exceptionaldining experiences for our guests while maximizing profitabilityand maintaining the highest standards of food quality andservice.

  • Oversee dailyrestaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-housemanagement
  • Develop and implement strategies toincrease revenue, control costs, and improve overallperformance
  • Manage and mentor a diverse team ofstaff, fostering a positive work environment and promotingprofessional growth
  • Ensure compliance with foodsafety regulations, health codes, and UAE laborlaws
  • Create and maintain relationships withvendors, suppliers, and industrypartners
  • Analyze financial reports, managebudgets, and make data-driven decisions to optimize restaurantperformance
  • Collaborate with the culinary teamto develop innovative menus and pricingstrategies
  • Handle customer feedback and resolveany issues to maintain the restaurant's reputation forexcellence
  • Implement and maintain qualitycontrol standards for food, beverage, andservice
  • Stay current with industry trends andimplement best practices to keep the restaurantcompetitive

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree inHospitality Management, Business Administration, or relatedfield
  • Minimum 5 years of experience inrestaurant management, preferably in high-end or beachfront diningestablishments
  • Proven track record ofsuccessfully managing restaurant operations and driving financialperformance
  • Strong leadership skills with theability to motivate and develop staff
  • Excellentcommunication and interpersonalskills
  • Proficiency in restaurant managementsoftware and financial managementtools
  • Experience in menu planning, pricingstrategies, and inventory control
  • Strongproblem-solving and conflict resolutionabilities
  • Food SafetyCertification
  • Knowledge of UAE food safetyregulations and labor laws
  • Familiarity withMiddle Eastern and internationalcuisines
  • Ability to work flexible hours,including evenings, weekends, andholidays
  • Fluency in English; knowledge otherlanguages (Russian or German) is a plus

1. Leadership and TeamManagement

  • Ability tolead, motivate, and manage a team of chefs, servers, bartenders,and other staff members.
  • Strong interpersonalskills to resolve conflicts, address staff concerns, and maintain apositive work environment.
  • Experience inrecruitment, training, and retaining talented staff while fosteringa team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Ability to setclear goals, monitor staff performance, and provide constructivefeedback.

2. FinancialManagement andBudgeting

  • Proficiencyin managing budgets, forecasting, and tracking financialperformance to ensure profitability.
  • Experiencein cost control (e.g., food, labor,and overhead) and maximizing revenue while minimizingwaste.
  • Ability to set and monitor financialtargets for revenue, expenses, and margins, ensuring operationalefficiency and profitability.
  • Experience withcreating financial reports, managing cash flow, and makingfinancial decisions that impact the restaurant's bottomline.

3. CustomerServiceExcellence

  • Ability toensure customers receive an exceptional experience from the momentthey enter until they leave.
  • Handling customercomplaints, ensuring quick resolutions, and maintaining positivecustomer relationships to promote repeatbusiness.
  • Promoting a positive diningexperience through service excellence, quality food, and aninviting atmosphere.

4.OperationalManagement

  • Overseeingdaily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and efficientwork between kitchen, bar, and front-of-houseteams.
  • Monitoring inventory, ensuring adequatestock levels, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timelydelivery of fresh products.
  • Ensuring health andsafety regulations and cleanliness standards are consistentlymaintained.
  • Organizing daily work schedules,ensuring the restaurant is properly staffed during peak hours andspecial events.

5.Marketing andPromotion

  • Developingand implementing marketing strategies to promote the restaurant,including special events, promotions, and seasonal menuchanges.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team(if available) to build social media presence, email campaigns, andlocal community engagement.
  • Utilizing customerfeedback and trends to adjust marketing strategies and attract newcustomers.

6.Problem-Solving and DecisionMaking

  • Ability to thinkquickly and act decisively when challenges arise, whether relatedto staff issues, operational problems, or customercomplaints.
  • Making key decisions regarding menuchanges, promotions, pricing, staffing, and more based on bothexperience and data.
  • Adapting to unforeseencircumstances (e.g., supply chain disruptions, staff shortages)while maintaining service quality.
