Our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum for England, but is influenced by current global topics and nuances of the UAE, meeting the specific interests of our international community of children. ASCS is completely technology enabled, a Google certified school, ensuring all teachers and children are equipped with Chrome books. Our staff and children are fully conversant with technology within the classroom and home learning. Although subjects are taught discretely, our Secondary teaching takes a Design Thinking approach to learning, intended to engage learners in problem solving, critical thinking, making connections across the curriculum, and preparing them for the next stage of their learning journey.

What we are looking for?
We are seeking a highly qualified Vice Principal for Al Salam Private School to join our team in August 2024. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a senior leadership post in a British Curriculum school, along with a proven track record in Dubai. As we are growing our secondary school, the role would suit a candidate with Head of Secondary experience and experience in other key phases.
Specific Accountabilities:
Promote a relentless focus on high quality, creative learning, and maximising student achievement, and students' ability to develop.Foster a motivated staff group that is fully engaged in the goal of achieving excellence in all areas of school life and who are committed to continuing personal and professional development.Effective strategic and operational planning, that includes self-evaluation, school improvement and delivery.Input into whole school strategic documentation relating to the SIP/SEF with a view to identifying and aligning key priorities for the schoolDevelop the schools pastoral and academic agenda and deliver on the key priorities for our school: Learning Skills, Reading and WellbeingEnsure the school is well equipped with training and resources aligned with SIP priorities and the vision of the schoolOversee the Performance Management process, ensuring alignment with SIP.Lead curriculum development and compliance, aligning manpower planning with curriculum needs.Develop teaching & learning, and deliver CPD (e.g.NPQs, PLTs, SLTs).Implement an assessment and data strategy to support school outcomes.Line manage the Heads of FS, Primary and Secondary.Oversee the annual timetable and any in-year changes for both phases.Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Governors. Position Requirements: Education: Master's degree, Teaching certification, NPQH, or equivalent educational leadership qualification.Experience: 5 years in senior management/leadership in a similar setting with a track record of school improvement. Competencies & Skills: Knowledge of international accreditation, inspection, and evaluation frameworksExcellent spoken and written communication skillsKnowledge of child protection, health, and safetyExperience in development and planningEffective relationship management with various stakeholdersHigh level of professional competenceCollaborative team player and strategic thinkerAbility to convert vision into actionFlexibility and capability in managing growth and maintaining high standards in multilingual settings.
