JESS Arabian Ranches Secondary School is seeking an outstanding, enthusiastic and driven Islamic Studies Teacher for maternity cover from November 2024 to approximately April 2025.

The successful candidate will join a supportive department and continue to embed an outstanding provision for Islamic Studies for our secondary students.

As part of our commitment to our staff's personal and professional development, comprehensive professional development will be provided to the successful candidate, who will:


• be fully qualified and experienced Islamic Studies Teacher with a relevant degree and professional teaching qualification with a minimum of 3 years teaching experience role


• be committed to personal professional development and has relevant recent professional development that qualifies them for this role


• have a robust understanding of the theory and practice of effective teaching and learning


• is able to prove their success in raising achievement as a classroom practitioner


• have successful experience of processes of monitoring, evaluation and review that provide performance data that can be used to improve the quality of teaching and learning


• have experience of embedding innovative strategies for improving teaching and learning


• is committed to collaborating with other staff members, developing staff and building strong relationships


• is committed to safeguarding and child protection and the wider pastoral care of students in their care


• be able to contribute to wider school life outside the classroom in terms of extracurricular activities and school community events

The package offers a generous salary. This is a local contract, and the candidate will be required to be sponsored by his/her spouse.
