Overview of the role

As a Solution Expert specializing in SAP Automotive Yard Logistics, you will play a key role in optimizing and streamlining logistics operations within the yard using SAP solutions. Your responsibilities will include leading tasks such as defining new scope and requirements, addressing issues, testing, and providing support to meet business needs, as well as implementing solutions to enhance the efficiency of yard logistics management.

What you will do


- Manage, consult, educate, troubleshoot, set up, and maintain domain solutions within agreed service level standards.
- Investigate and formulate specifications for system changes to handle workloads and ensure high availability.
- Develop and upkeep documentation for technical solution modifications.
- Collaborate with software suppliers and the Change Management team to resolve issues and implement system changes.
- Work closely with internal and external implementation team members and partners to contribute to the development, testing, and deployment of solutions.
- Adhere to software development and maintenance standards by staying updated on internal and external best practices.
- Contribute to enhancing solutions and business processes.
- Continuously upgrade professional knowledge, management skills, and domain expertise through learning and development tools.

Required Skills for Success


- Solid understanding of Automotive Logistics business processes.
- Ability to seamlessly integrate SAP YL with SAP SD, SAP MM, and other relevant modules.
- Proficiency in Agile and SAP Activate implementation methodologies.
- Outstanding consulting skills, with the capability to effectively engage with business users and stakeholders independently.
- Thorough understanding of ABAP with strong debugging skills.
- Behavioral Competencies: Willingness to learn new technologies, Innovative thinking, Adaptability, Strong Customer Relationship.

Qualifications for the Role

- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in implementing and supporting SAP YL for Automotive Business.
- Proficiency in configuring Inbound, Outbound, and Internal Processes within SAP YL.
- Extensive experience in integrating SAP YL with backend systems for both master and transactional data.
- Demonstrated proficiency in setting up Yard Layout, Yard Order, Yard Task, and Yard Request configurations.
- Hands-on experience in setting up new IDOCs and QRFCs.
- Experience in seamless integration with third-party systems.
- Functional design expertise in developing Fiori applications.
- Experience in SAP EWM would be advantageous.
