Raha International School, Khalifa City Campus (KCC) are looking to appoint an Outstanding Secondary teacher to join our passionate and dedicated team. This role is a new position, adding to our secondary school staff body due to continued growth. You will be joining an established languages team, which already includes French, Spanish, Arabic and English linguists. Therefore, your experience and ability to collaborate and contribute to a team that achieves more than the sum of its parts is essential. Our young school is growing into the IB Diploma Programme (DP) for first teaching from August 2024, and experience of teaching multiple complete cycles of DP French B and/or Ab Initio would be an advantage. Similarly, experience of teaching French Language Acquisition to the younger years (grade 6-10) in a way that gets them ready for DP, before DP, without distorting the curriculum or diminishing the joy of language learning is essential. If you don't have experience with IB DP or MYP, we will be looking for an approach to teaching that aligns with the IB: collaborative inquiry; active learning; differentiated and multi-modal.

Our Curriculum

KCC is an International Baccalaureate World School catering for all grades from Pre K to Grade 11, offering this internationally acclaimed curriculum respected for its relevance to today's multicultural and increasingly global society. PYP and MYP are fully established already, and we will expand into DP in 2024. Our school is a contemporary and dynamic organisation, educating students from over 80 nations who collectively speak 45 mother tongues.

What do we look for?

Due to ADEK regulations, we require our teachers to have one of the following:

Bachelor's Degree in specialization or related subject with PGCE/PGDE or QTS2 years of teaching experience in subject.Experience of teaching the IB MYP and DP curriculum is desirable but not a requirement. Aside from your qualifications, personality is very important, we look for inspirational teachers who leave a lasting impression on students for years to follow.
