JobDescription:

Asthe Editor ofDefenceand Security MiddleEastyou will play a critical role in shaping the magazines editorialdirection ensuring the highest standards of content quality andcontributing to the growth and success of the publication. The rolerequires a deep understanding of the Middle Easts defence andsecurity sector as well as proficiency in utilising digital toolssuch as Google Analytics SEO strategies and content managementsystems.

Responsibilities:

  • Producehighquality engaging and informative digital content includingarticles news updates features and multimedia content relevant tothe defence and security sector in the MiddleEast.
  • Implementeffective SEO strategies to improve the visibility and ranking ofour content on search engines ensuring that our content reaches awideraudience.
  • Monitorwebsite performance using Google Analytics analyse user behaviourand make datadriven decisions to enhance user engagement and drivetrafficgrowth.
  • Maintaina strong understanding of the Middle Easts defence and securitylandscape including geopolitical developments industry trends andkey players in theregion.
  • Ifyou have experience with content paywalls or subscriptionbasedmodels it will be a valuable asset in this role as we explorerevenue diversificationstrategies.
  • Workclosely with the editorial team to coordinate content planningalign content with editorial goals and ensure consistency inmessaging andstyle.
  • Developand execute strategies to increase audience engagement includingsocial media promotion email marketing and other digitalchannels.
  • Optimisecontent distribution channels and partnerships to expand our reachand grow our digitalaudience.
  • Leadmanage and inspire a team of writers reporters and contributors toproduce highquality content for digital and printplatforms.
  • Developand execute an effective content strategy that aligns with thebrands objectives and resonates with our targetaudience.
  • Planassign write and edit articles features and daily online newsstories ensuring accuracy consistency and adherence to the brandseditorialstandards.
  • Stayupdated on industry trends news and developments to ensure thebrands content remains timely andrelevant.
  • Collaboratewith internal and external stakeholders including industry expertsand partners to enhance content quality andcoverage.
  • Ensurethe timely publication of content across various platformsincluding the brands website social media channels and printpublications.
  • Qualifications:
  • Minimumof five years of editorial experience preferably in a digitalpublishingenvironment.
  • Strongunderstanding of the defence and security sector in the MiddleEast.
  • Proficiencyin digital tools and platforms including Google Analytics SEO andcontent managementsystems.
  • Exceptionalwriting and editing skills with a keen eye for detail andgrammar.
  • Strongorganisational and project managementskills.
  • Abilityto work effectively in a fastpaced deadlinedrivenenvironment.
  • Excellentcommunication and teamworkskills.

If you have experience with content paywallsor subscription-based models, it will be a valuable asset in thisrole as we explore revenue diversification strategies. Work closelywith the editorial team to coordinate content planning, aligncontent with editorial goals, and ensure consistency in messagingand style. Develop and execute strategies to increase audienceengagement, including social media promotion, email marketing, andother digital channels. Optimise content distribution channels andpartnerships to expand our reach and grow our digital audience.Lead, manage, and inspire a team of writers, reporters, andcontributors to produce high-quality content for digital and printplatforms. Develop and execute an effective content strategy thataligns with the brand's objectives and resonates with our targetaudience. Plan, assign, write, and edit articles, features, anddaily online news stories, ensuring accuracy, consistency, andadherence to the brand's editorial standards. Stay updated onindustry trends, news, and developments to ensure the brand'scontent remains timely and relevant. Collaborate with internal andexternal stakeholders, including industry experts and partners, toenhance content quality and coverage. Ensure the timely publicationof content across various platforms, including the brand's website,social media channels, and print publications. Qualifications:Minimum of five years of editorial experience, preferably in adigital publishing environment. Strong understanding of the defenceand security sector in the Middle East. Proficiency in digitaltools and platforms, including Google Analytics, SEO, and contentmanagement systems. Exceptional writing and editing skills with akeen eye for detail and grammar. Strong organisational and projectmanagement skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced,deadline-driven environment. Excellent communication and teamworkskills. Knowledge of paywall strategies (preferred).
