What we are looking forThe DAP Technician is responsible for providing assistance with product development projects in the RDD Devices, Accessories and Packaging team.

Your duties include product (device) testing, supporting failure investigations and generate analytic reports, tearing down and assembling of products, preparing test samples.

The technician will be able to work closely with our product Design Managers to learn how the devices work.

You will also the area owner of our state-of-the-art Prototyping facilities and will be responsible for ensuring compliance to Safety, Security and 5S.What you will be responsible forSupport the Design and Development process by conducting Design of Experiments, Verification, Prototype builds, testing and analysis.

Smoking of OOKA might be required. Hand build devices, modify prototypes, tear down to investigate technical issues, problem solve or identify areas for improvement. Troubleshoot devices, assist in builds and/or re-work.

Workshop Management:
Keep the RDD Workshop and Store clean and Tidy, enforce company and department Safety and Security practices, maintaining a high standard of organization, including 5S methodology, housekeeping, and common tool inventory management

Storage and Inventory Management:
Manage storage conditions and inventory system for the RDD Workshop and Store, including hazardous goods and battery storage. Maintain stock inventory of materials and supplies, ensuring adequate levels for ongoing experimentation and testing activities. Handle samples, equipment, and chemicals with care, adhering to laboratory safety guidelines and practices.

Monitor and maintain testing and measuring equipment, ensuring proper calibration, repair, or replacement as needed to uphold product quality standards.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and protocols, including inspections and test methods, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Who you areDiploma (Associate Degree) or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering. 1-2 years relevant experience (previous experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in research and development). Display a good understanding of electronics or consumer electronics and/or the Product Development process.

Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in test preparation and testing procedures; familiarity with the tools, concepts and methodologies of research and development.

Strong understanding of laboratory techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols. Possess the ability to apply simple mathematical principles and statistics to interpret and report results. Good Technical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively & clearly information or ideas at a technical level.
