Role Summary:

The Regional Security Advisor (RSA) will be an active member of the GE Aerospace (GEA) Global Security team. The RSA will primarily be responsible for partnering with GEA facilities located in their assigned region.

Under the guidance of the Regional Security Director (RSD) and Senior Security Director, Regional Operations (SSD), the RSA will track compliance and audit security policies, standards, and security management systems, alongside the developmental/procedural requirements across their assigned region.

Additionally, the RSA will serve as the regional point of contact pursuant to international security related events, investigations, security risk mitigation, corporate security programs, security logistics for special events, and crisis management within their region and in support of the RSD.

They will also support the RSD as a liaison with public agencies, regulatory bodies, and GE facilities via the respective Site Security Leader (SSL).


Responsibilities:

Facility operational Security

  • Promote awareness and support facilities with compliance to Physical Security Standard/Policy of security related GEA policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and analysis of GEA facility security plans for compliance with existing GEA policies and procedures.
  • Conduct comprehensive site security reviews of GEA construction projects underway in the assigned region and provide recommendations in line with the GEA physical security playbook and enterprise requirements.
  • Ensure the reporting of all incidents involving crime, security violations, critical security intelligence and incident trends via GEA reporting system, review incoming reports and provide guidance to close incidents.
  • Conduct security investigations when assigned by the RSD or SSD, receive and evaluate information on securityrelated adverse incidents and make recommendations to preclude recurrence.
  • Provide general oversight and guidance on the security operations for GEA sites, to include advising on security protocols/standards, guard services, access control, crisis management and business continuity.
  • Work in partnership with all SSLs to ensure appropriate focus and ensure that all security requirements are implemented at sites throughout the region.
  • Provide security education and awareness activities, across the region, continuing education efforts for sites and leadership teams as well as all employees through awareness programs.

Regional Security Point of Contact

  • Maintain a strong awareness of all relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Support regional leadership and the RSD on securityrelated activities as the primary security focalpoint across the region.
  • When necessary, travel outside of assigned region to assist other Global Security team members.
  • Deploy as part of an Incident Management Team in response to an incident when on the ground assistance is required.
  • Represent GEA among key industry groups and at association functions as directed by the RSD when needed.
  • Occasionally be available out of hours to provide incident response coverage and intelligence reporting to GEA when needed.
  • Support additional security related activities in assigned region as required by the RSD or SSD, in support of special events, crisis management and operational business needs.
  • Build and maintain an effective working relationship with local law enforcement and security agencies and professional security organizations related to assigned region.
  • Working with GEA legal and compliance teams, ensure GEA legal entities and operations comply with local regulations.
  • Support other Global Security Team Members crossregionally when required and directed by the RSD or SSD.
  • Liaising with related GEA components such as facilities, logistics, procurement, and digital technology teams, to support the Global Security mission.

Collaborate and share critical information with the GE Aerospace Response Center (ARC)

  • Monitor national and international events to assess securityrelated trends and implications on GEA business operations and staff within the region, escalating to the RSD and ARC when appropriate.
  • Ensure country/zone level crisis plans are maintained to ensure an established and validated process to limit the intensity of a negative threat or event to GEA's employees, products, services, financial condition, and reputation within the area.
