  • Develop and maintain database ofdocuments within the AMBU Legal Department, retrieving referencesand documents required for negotiating, drafting and execution ofvarious agreements prepared by the Legal Department'slawyers.
  • Process some of the AMBU LegalDepartment's procedural functions under the guidance oflawyers which relieves the lawyers from routinematters.
  • Review the legal documents in relationto the contracts that need to be reviewed by the lawyers, uponreceiving the same.
  • Track and update the statusof job requests within the AMBU LegalDepartment.
  • Assist in the finalization ofagreements by performing miscellaneous tasks such as highlightingtextual changes in draft agreements, collating enclosures to beattached to agreements and other relatedtasks.
  • Review incoming correspondence andadvising the lawyers of relevant deadlines andnotices.
  • Provide periodic reminders to theSenior Director - Legal and lawyers whennecessary.
  • Assist the lawyers in preparingcertain legal documents, such as legal notices, arranging for theservice of such notices, obtaining proof of delivery andmaintaining legal records.
  • Allocate legal tasksand job requests amongst the lawyers and ensure that the timelinesare followed by the lawyers.
  • Act as thefacilitator for the signing of contracts by MAFP, documentmanagement/ tracking and safekeeping of original agreements andensure the due safety and security of legal documentation andoriginal contracts.
  • Responsible for keepingscanned copies for the easy reference and retrieval of originaldocuments.
  • Prepare legal questionnaires to beaddressed to external legal counsels in countries where AMBUintends to operate for conducting due diligence on a variety ofsubjects, such as corporate law, leasing, labour law, miscellaneouscontracts, etc.
  • Assist the lawyers in thepreparation of standard legal documents, including (but not limitedto) contractual agreements and letters using legaltemplates.
  • Responsible for quality assurance ofadministrative and paralegal work.
  • Liaiseindependently with external lawyers appointed locally or overseasfor follow up on the status of legal matters of diverse nature,monitoring of relevant litigation court deadlines and keepinglawyers advised of the same.
  • Undertake thenecessary updates (e.g., tracking of job requests, litigationcases, trademarks) on the internal system/platform of the AMBULegal Department.
  • Prepare reports on thedifferent functions supported by the AMBU Legal Department, submission of such reportsinternally.
  • Undertake any translation jobrelated matter as requested by the different members of the AMBULegal team.
