We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering with over 13 years of experience in planning, scheduling, and progress control activities within multidiscipline EPC projects for the oil & gas construction industry. This role requires at least 3 years of on-site construction experience and expertise in managing EPC schedules for projects valued over US$100 million.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules for large-scale oil & gas upstream facilities, including pipelines, flow lines, wellheads, manifolds, and station jobs.
  • Utilize Primavera P7 and MS Project software to create, maintain, and optimize project schedules.
  • Prepare detailed planning packages including L3/L4 schedules, histograms, EPC curves, progress measurement systems, critical path analyses, and recovery plans.
  • Monitor project progress and implement cost control activities, ensuring projects stay within budget.
  • Conduct financial management, budgeting, and costing activities to support project delivery.
  • Provide regular updates and presentations to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 13 years of relevant experience in planning, scheduling, and progress control in the oil & gas construction industry.
  • At least 3 years of on-site construction experience.
  • Proven experience in managing EPC schedules for projects valued over US$100 million.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P7 and MS Project software packages.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and cost control activities.
  • Ability to prepare detailed planning packages and conduct critical path analyses.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
