  • Performs destructive and nondestructivetests on metals and other materials through magnaflex,dyepenetrant, radiographic, tension and compression, paintthickness, and resistivity.
  • Performssurveillance of underground piping to ensure tightness, bedding,and grade.
  • Inspects and monitors pilinginstallation to ensure location andbearing.
  • Validates piping systems, includingP&ID checks and hydraulic or other pressuretests.
  • Inspects electrical installations toensure proper grounding, circuit integrity, and adherence tostatutory and customer regulations.
  • Performscontinuing inspection of painting and insulation to ensurethickness and coverage continuity.
  • Providesgeneral inspection on all construction labor and subcontractedtasks to ensure professionalworkmanship.
  • Verifies equipment alignment andbalancing operations. Participates in the development of qualitycontrol reports and procedures
  • Participates inthe development of job safety practices and in the preparation ofsafety reports.
  • May administer welderqualification tests.
  • Performs otherresponsibilities associated with this position as may beappropriate.
