As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are currently seeking a skilled, dynamic and experienced Head of Finance with extensive compliance experience to lead our finance team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and providing strategic guidance to senior management and stockholders.


Objective of This Role:

Financial Management:
Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.

Work with senior managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract/grant compliance and reporting.

Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement.
Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives.

Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports based on the forecast and P&L , collaborate closely with the management and company stockholders.

Manage a team that develops financial and valuation models, materials, and recommendations for executive decision-making by conducting comprehensive analyses and utilizing appropriate methods.

Coordinate strategic financial planning for the company including expenses, income, insurance coverage, objectives, tax status, and risk tolerance.

Focus on daily and month-end accounting to determine results, including P&L activity (management fees, fee splitting, gross-ups, reclasses), balance sheet activity (deferrals, accruals), and accounts-receivable cash application, in compliance with GAAP.Support finance partners in implementing valuation models, measuring results, tracking performance vs.

expectations, and providing recommendations for corrective action.
Provide insights about spending trends, cost-savings initiatives, and margin opportunities.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and key financial metrics.
Oversee financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Compliance Oversight:
Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
Liaising with external auditors and banks.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Conduct internal audits to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to address compliance issues.
Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and industry best practices.

Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Delegate tasks and projects effectively, ensuring optimal use of resources.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to finance team members.
Promote professional development and training opportunities for the finance team.

Preferred skills and qualifications:
Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, business accounting, or finance.
Five or more years of experience in finance and accounting roles executive leadership roles.
Extensive knowledge of financial principles, practices, AML and compliance regulations.
Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
Working knowledge of how to raise capital outside traditional lines of credit.
