  • Our client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Engineer to join their team.

The successful Engineer will have broad focus on contractual issues such as contract preparation, maintenance, cost monitoring & ordering and payment procedures.

The Engineer will be involved in but not limited to the below tasks:

Provide professional advice to staff within assigned end user divisions / departments on defining and evaluating the need for contracting different activities; most cost effective contractual approach and optimum contracts negotiation strategies; potential contractual pitfalls and ensures inclusion of proper technical contractual terms and conditions to avoid them as requested.

Assists end users and participates in negotiating contact terms and conditions on their behalf to safeguard interests.

Control and monitors contracts of assigned divisions / departments to ensure that our client's interests are contractually safeguarded and fully protected at all times.

Includes reviewing objectives, requirements and assessing priorities to ensure that conflicting demands and critical dates are met and fulfilled in the most efficient manner.

Plans and develops tendering / contracts strategy for assigned divisions / departments.

Develop and update tender and contracting documents to ensure that the policies, procedures and instructions are incorporated in such documents including the preparation of tender / contract packages ensuring the adequacy of the individual components of the packages and that they are prepared to ensure integrity and continuity throughout contract life.

Administers and monitors tender / contract

  • As the successful candidate you will have achieved a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a Engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in project management particularly contract preparation and administration including at least 5 years in oil and gas industry.
  • Have a good level of analytical and structured approach to formulation and administering contractual issues.
  • You will be required to have a good knowledge of Operations policies, procedures and business practices together with skills in appropriate computer software, technical report writing and good English written / oral skills.
