Ocean Freight Forwarder

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establishment and development of ocean freight services (FCL) both import and export related to the UAE region;
  • Processing of requests, organization and control of the whole process of sea transportation;
  • Communication with the real Customer concerning the organization and management of international cargo transportation (FCL);
  • Communication with the shipping lines, clarification of transportation details;
  • Making quotes under all the requests and Order Releases when Ordered;
  • Creation of transport orders in internal company systems;
  • Participation in tender preparations if needed.

REQUEREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of proven experience with ocean freight transportation within the freight forwarding industry (FCL);
  • Profound knowledge of the UAE market;
  • Experience with the organization of "door to door" sea/multimodal transportation;
  • Experience with the direct communication with the Customer and the shipping lines;
  • High level of writing and speaking English;
  • Broadminded, out of the box thinking and ability to find nonstandard solutions.
