The Arbor School is a growing school situated near the Dubai Marina area of Dubai, in the UAE.

The school opened in September 2018 and currently has over 1,000 children on the register.

The school offers the National Curriculum for England with a focus on Ecoliteracy, Sustainability and Environmental Justice which are incorporated into the curriculum across all year groups.

The school has a diverse student body with children from over 50 countries, creating a truly International environment.

We are currently looking for an outstanding
Assistant Head of Primary to join the team in August 2023.

JOB SUMMARY


As a core member of the Primary Leadership Team, you will have responsibility for both the daily operational structures and long-term strategic goal setting across Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2).

With a range of responsibilities, the Assistant Head of Primary's role includes, but is not exclusive to, leading the formation of a world class written curriculum, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning, and the collation and analysis of evidence to inform teaching and learning practices across the school.

As an Assistant Head in the Primary School at the Arbor School, you will play a key role in embedding and fostering a learning culture centred around our Strategic Intent and Guiding Visions:
The Mission Statement and The Arbor Promise.

REQUIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Nativelevel English language skills
  • Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent, with a PGCE or QTS, from a reputable university
  • Minimum 2 years' experience of educational leadership in British schools
  • A track record of outstanding teaching and learning and an ability to create a caring and nurturing classroom environment
  • A sense of humour and an excellent work ethic
