JOB DESCRIPTIONWood is currently recruiting for a PMC Senior Planning Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and Gas industry for ADNOC Offshore client to be based in Abu Dhabi.

RESPONSIBILITIESReporting to the Project Controls Lead / Project Lead the candidate will assume sole responsibility for Project Planning and Scheduling / Project Controls of Engineering and construction ProjectsResponsible for the development and maintenance of and reporting against detailed project plansTo ensure that the overall project is delivered to meet client's schedule requirements / prioritiesTo ensure that all work is performed without compromise to quality and in line with the company's proceduresTo maintain high standard of safety at all timesDevelop a suitable Work Breakdown Structure covering the project requirements / scope of worksDevelop, baseline, update, and maintain detailed project schedules for various phases of project execution including but not limited to design development (main responsibility), construction, pre-commissioning, and start-upCoordinate with client representatives, team members, contractors, subcontractors while developing project schedules to take into account all project requirementsOrganise workshops to present and review project schedules with all the concerned stakeholders to take their buy-in before baselining the schedulesDevelop and agree with the client progress measurement and reporting requirementsReview schedules prepared by the Contractors / Subcontractors (wherever required) to confirm alignment with the overall master planPeriodically update the schedule with progress attained during the periodCoordinate with team member / contractors / subcontractors to prepare schedule forecastsIdentify / highlight any emerging issues pertaining to schedule slippages and work with Project Manager / team to develop recovery plansAnalyse impact of proposed changes to project scope / requirements and re-baseline the schedules to incorporate approved changesPrepare weekly, fortnightly and monthly progress reports / progress curves and distribute them to the concerned stakeholdersAttend progress review meetings with Project Manager / client / contractorsVerify physical progress as claimed by contractor / subcontractorsCoordinate with the Procurement / Supply Chain Manager regarding procurement status of Long Lead Equipment / Bulks and update the schedules accordinglyProvide forecasts for project completion with anticipated man-hours to facilitate the cost forecasting processQUALIFICATIONSMinimum of 15 years' relevant experience in the oil and gas industryBachelor degree in engineeringKnowledge of engineering, procurement and construction planning processes, planning tools, project management techniquesKnowledge of CTR and progress measurement processesExperience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferredExperience in EPC Projects, ADNOC ProjectsFamiliar with ADNOC Standards and proceduresPrevious experience in Sulphur handling projects is preferrablePrevious PMC experience is preferrableABOUT USWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
