Allyn International is currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our organization

What does a Logistics Coordinator do?


The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing logistics activities in a manner that shall meet business fulfillment requirements in parallel with the goal of transportation cost reduction.

The position is responsible for collecting and communicating all necessary information related to upcoming and ongoing shipments, projects and services as well as providing logistics support, consulting, and obtaining best possible transportation rates.

Work Schedule: 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday

Position Classification:
Full-Time;

Sitting, typing, walking, standing, and talking on the phone

Work Environment:
Cubicle, office environment

  • Bachelor's or equivalent college degree focus on Logistics preferred
  • International logistics experience in transportation, customs, supply chain principles, geographical concerns, and political nuances of economic zones
  • Knowledge of the English and Arabic languages on an advanced level is a must
  • Purchasing and sales experience in Logistics is preferred
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Problemsolving and communication skills
  • Planning and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Route cargo in accordance with legal and customer requirements
  • Coordinate the routing process using contract rates or obtaining spot quotes
  • Issue resolution and shipment responsibilities
  • Training of new employees and clients if needed
  • Actively use either Allyn Logistics Application (ALA) or other required systems
  • Create, manage and dispatch all shipping, customs & financial documents such as certificates of origin, customs invoices, packing lists, certificates of insurance and Customs clearance
  • Request and follow up the permits issuance
  • Accurately issue shipping documentation such as Bill of Lading / AWB/ FCR instructions to carriers
  • Actively look for capture savings opportunities and added value opportunities when possible
  • Actively participate in team meetings, conference calls, and daily project management calls with Allyn team and with the client
  • Maintain online tracking and metrics tools
  • Track and resolve freight claims
  • Provide excellent customer service to Allyn customers
