Roles & Responsibility

  • Manage and analyse budget and create financial forecasts.
  • Publicize financial statements in accordance with the planned time schedule.
  • Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
  • Preparing accounts and tax returns.
  • Managing income and expenditure accounts.
  • Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company.
  • Reconciling the company's bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
  • Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.
  • Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
  • Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
  • Assisting with annual audit preparations.
  • Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of noncompliance.
  • Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
  • Create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for accounting policy and regulations, and roll out reconciliation procedures.
  • Focus on tax compliance, state business registration, contract review, and nonprofit tax filing.
  • Liaise with HR Department regarding salary letters, employee leave management, promotions etc.
  • Dealing with the approved invoices and LPOs.
  • Monthly payroll handling, preparing leave settlement, Gratuity handling, Preparing full and final settlement.
  • Consultative with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up.
  • Completing analysis of the employee expenditures.
  • Perform special assignments as given by the Head of the Department.

Knowledge, Skill & Competencies required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, any additions qualification will be considered.
  • 45 years of relevant experience in financial & management accounting, particularly in Construction industry is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in audit and costing is advantageous.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural team environment.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
  • Excellent communication skills.
