We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant who is well-versed in all aspects of financial management. Major responsibilities include accounting, bookkeeping, generating and maintaining accurate P&L and balance sheets, managing all financial transactions, tax filing, preparing monthly/quarterly reports, budgeting, and serving as the primary contact for all matters related to school financial operations. Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing day-to-day account receivables and payables in the school.
  • Verifying recorded transactions and reporting irregularities to management.
  • Reconciliation of outstanding fees/payments.
  • Complete oversight of balance sheet reconciliation, disbursements, and a focus on interdepartmental and vendor relations.
  • Timely preparation of weekly and monthly MIS consolidated financial statements, payments, and cash flow.
  • Administering payrolls.
  • Maintaining and transferring money between bank accounts as required.
  • Conducting month-end and quarterly/year-end closures.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
  • Developing periodic reports for management.
  • Playing a key role in any system updates/migration.
  • Developing financial and tax strategies.
  • Experience in complex data analysis and financial modelling.
  • Auditing financial transactions and documenting accounting control procedures.
  • Coordinating external audits, preparation of financial statements, and Actuarial Valuation review.

Skills:

At least 3 years of relevant working experience in the UAE.

Proficiency in English, both written and oral, with strong coordination and communication skills.

Accounting-related major, preferred M.com/CA/CMA/ICWA.

Consistent, accurate, and thorough with an eye for details and an aptitude for numbers.

Tally and advanced ERP proficiency.

Excellent command of MS Office.

Trustworthy with strong business integrity and a positive attitude.

Keeping up with financial policies, regulations, etc.

Candidates with experience working in the education sector are preferred.
