  • Responsible for the safe & efficient conduct of cable lay operations and proper maintenance of related cable lay equipment.
  • Train and develop the crew in the operation, maintenance and repair of cable laying equipment.
  • Report detailed job activities to Barge Superintendent on daily basis.
Ensure a complete and up-to-date inventory of available spare items/equipment is always maintained.

  • Job Description:
  • Responsible for the safe & efficient conduct of cable lay operations and proper maintenance of related cable lay equipment.
Train and develop the crew in the operation, maintenance and repair of cable laying equipment. Report detailed job activities to Barge Superintendent on daily basis.   • Knowledge & Qualification:
  • Knowledge and expertise of using/maintaining cable lay gears Proven supervisory skills. Good communication skillGood organizational skills Good Problem solving technique and skills Secondary (10 years schooling) & a discipline-specific technical diploma with 9 years of relevant experience Secondary (10 years schooling) with 12 years of relevant experience 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Role & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a log of equipment condition beforeand after cable laying activities to record and indicate specific equipment that requires maintenance works. Liaise regularly with the Chief Mechanic to ensure the timely inspection and maintenance of equipment. Take necessary actions to establish a safe working environment.
