About The Role

The Lead Quality Assurance Engineersupports the Principal Quality Assurance Engineer by coordinatingbusiness technical and quality criteria within the delivery. Theynot only assist the software engineering team in executing thedesigned test strategy for their product area but they also assistthe product owner in assuring the most optimal user journey. Theirprimary focus is to understand the business domain bothoperationally and technically to provide context to the tests andQA activities they carry out. As a Lead Quality Assurance Engineeryou will be technically skilled in software engineering and testingpractices. The role coordinates and executes endtoend businessprocess tests in a variety of delivery models in support of theportfolio release trains.

What Youll BeExpected To Do :

  • Workclosely with project members technical product owners architectsand software engineers to understand the complete context ofdeliveries to translate complex functional and nonfunctionalrequirements.
  • Work with the Core Test Datateam to ensure test data is available to support the wide varietyof tests that you plan coordinate and execute at various stages ofthe SDLC.
  • Liaise with other product teams tomanage the testing of cross dependent features.
  • Ensure Test Tools are configured correctly andaccurately to support the generation of metrics for enterprisewidedashboards.
  • Challenge the statusquo whereneeded with new tools and techniques to continuously raise the barof quality deliveries.
  • Implement maintain andadapt automation frameworks and test harnesses to ensure robust CIpipelines post deployment (CD) tests and smooth execution ofendtoend tests across systems.
  • Influencesupport and guide Software Engineers to write and maintainautomated functional tests through continuous integration to makequality a team deliverable.
  • Influence andshape enterprise quality roadmaps by running POCs suggestingtooling improvements and proactively enhancing frameworks for thewider quality community.
  • Lead and influenceteams at different levels and scale to minimise inefficiencies andmitigate any risks for large scaledeliveries.

Qualifications& Experience: Experience Youll Need To Have:

  • 5 years in quality relatedroles with increasing responsibility impact and scope within adigital or ecommerce environment.
  • 3 years ofexperience as a Software Quality Engineering lead or equivalentposition looking after multiple products.
  • Experience in providing product input onbusiness process flows and scenario mapping for business solutions.Experience of understanding and applying system thinkingto advanced technology solutions for large complex organisations ina multifunctional environment.

Skills Youll NeedTo Have:

  • Experience withcreating and maintaining large scale test data frameworks tosupport test automation.
  • 3 years of experienceusing one or more of the following automation tools: Seleniumcomponents (WebDriver Grid etc.) Protractor Jasmin Cucumber GherkinJUnit TestNG.
  • Experience using git SCM toolsGitHub or Bitbucket or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in at least 2 differentprogramming languages preferably JavaScript and Java.
  • Experienced with coding best practices anddefining coding guidelines.
  • Highly experiencedwith developing automation frameworks from scratch built for UI andAPI testing and integration with CI pipelines.
  • Experience using CI tools like Jenkins AzureDevOps or equivalent. Strong expertise with contextdriven and exploratory testing with practical experience of using anumber of testing heuristics.

Skills Wed Like YouTo Have :

  • Experienceworking with VMs and containers both on prem and cloud offeringslike Amazon and G oogle cloud.
  • Awareness of the latesttesting and technology trends and using them to improve dailypractices.
  • Strong oraland written communication skills with demonstrable experiencecommunicating crossfunctionally with architects and product ownersin formal and informal settings.
  • Experiencedwith leading a team of engineers to achieve product and businessgoals.
  • Ability to work effectively within arelease train in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong organisational planning and followupskills and ability to hold others accountable. Strongpeople management skills with a proven ability to hire and growteams of Software Quality Engineers.
