Overview:


The Asset Manager is an integral part of the company, providing support to the Project Management and Operations Teams to maximize efficiency in the utilization of all company owned rental assets and to identify opportunities to increase profitability through efficiencies and cost savings across external subrentals both on a long and short-term basis.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience within the industry is essential
  • Previous indepth experience using rental software systems is a requirement
  • Extensive crossdiscipline knowledge of the technical assets associated with the events industry.
  • Excellent Microsoft Word & Excel skills are essential
  • Ability to work without supervision and ability to be proactive is expected
  • Strong analytical skills and a high level of commercial, business, and financial acumen.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • A highly organized individual, able to prioritize a demanding and diverse workload to exacting deadlines.
  • Strategic thinker with clear ability to identify, appraise and implement new ideas and approaches for developing revenue and profitability of the business.
  • Ability to adapt to change, lead and direct a team through an unexpected change of priority or deadline.
  • Drive to consistently manage a safe, clean and hazardfree environment and understand and comply with the Company's Health and Safety policy
  • Ensure communications are clear and effective to facilitate cooperation and teamwork across the business
  • Employees are expected to ensure that the Company's policies, procedures and obligations are adhered to in carrying out all duties
  • Emphasis will be placed on the PRG Company values
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral is essential
  • Full clean driving license

Responsibilities:

  • Encourage a cohesive approach across the Asset Team and broader internal users to maximize the efficiency and utilization of the company's extensive asset base
  • Work with the Project Management team in identifying the best use of assets the monitoring of the inventory management system and equipment bookings.
  • Drive the processes of Inbound and Outbound asset transfers and intercompany orders.
  • Oversee equipment subrental, including monitoring of pricing within the market.
  • Keep up to date with the Company's inventory.
  • Produce regular detailed and accurate reports for the company management
  • Support the Logistics team to ensure both cost effective movement of equipment and all required documentation is processed correctly.
  • Work to optimize our services regimes, both internal and external.
  • Raise purchase orders if required using the inventory management system.
  • Maintain an ongoing review of current and emerging technology that is available to the Company or is in the local market.
  • Review future business to ensure the correct type and level of assets are in place for the peak business months.
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness, sharing knowledge of the projects and customers active within the markets the Company operates within. Provide input and a qualified opinion on assets available in the local market.
  • Undertake additional projects as directed by the company.
  • Drive the development and implementation of plans to improve and maintain gross profit margins. This will include cost effectively managing the Company's assets and reviewing working practices to ensure that the efficiency and productivity is maximized at all times.
  • Identify underutilised or older assets for disposal and/or resale and work with our UES teams to optimize the disposal.
