Contextof the role
Dupixent is Sanofi & Regeneron co-developeddrug, treating severe allergies such as Asthma, Nasal Polyps andAtopicDermatitis.
Dupixentreached $5Bn sales in 2021, is experiencing significant growth andbeing authorized for new indications. Dupixent Marketing budget was1.3Bn$ in 2021, spread across almost 30 touchpoints (TV, digital,sales forces...)
In this context,Sanofi created a Data Science and Development team to build its ownMarketing Mix Modeling (MMM) solution, to support its leadership,brand and media teams in their Marketing decisions of allocation.
Descriptionof the solution you will work with
The internallydeveloped solution aims at optimizing spend allocation betweenMarketing channels, to maximize sales. It is made of four mainbuilding blocks:
- Automateddata collection and ingestion : Ensure rapidity and quality of datacollected to be used as entry in the model
- Responsemodel : Build response curves linking spend & sales, todefine optimum level of spend
- Optimizer: Optimize allocation of budget given business constraints, toreach business objectives
- Webapp :Self-service webapp for Business teams to create, manage, analyze& compare scenarios
DriveMarketing effectiveness by advising Brand and Media teams onMarketing Commercial budget allocation
- Help Brandand Media teams translate optimizer outputs into concrete actionplans (e.g., identifying root causes of Marketing ineffectivenessand associated levers of improvement)
- Provideexternal benchmarks to propose additional improvement opportunitieson budget allocation and marketing effectiveness
- Ensurefull coherence and challenge allocation scenarios proposed by teams
- Work hand inhand with Data Science and Analytics teams, and foster bestpractices by :
- providingexpertise and support - giving feedbacks on solution fromdiscussions with business teams and work with solution ProductOwner to help him best prioritize features, in order to maximizevalue
- Conductworkshops and training sessions with brand, media &Salesforces teams to educate on the tool, increase businessengagement and foster best practices - help teams make the tooltheir own
- Ensureappropriate use of the tool during Business milestones (e.g.,Budget, Brand plan...) -
- Write& share playbooks to ease roll-out to new markets
RequirementsKeyTechnical Requirements &Qualifications
- 7+years of experience in a significant Data / Analytics role withadvanced knowledge of statistical model for sales optimization(ideallyMMM)
- Stronganalytical acumen and quantitative skills with a demonstratedability to translate information and data into actionable insightsstory and strategicrecommendations
- Comfortand good intuition around advanced analytics, with a good basicunderstanding of modeling techniques and advanced applied skills(e.g. Regression, Customer life cycle value, A/Btesting)
- Deepunderstanding of sales and media data, including agencies andcontract management (to support recontracting for automatizationwhen needed)English proficiency ismandatory
- Leadershipand strong influencing skills, ability to demonstrate confidence incommunications with stakeholders at alllevels
- Abilityto work independently and as part of multiple teams inside a globalengineeringteam
- Youlike to move fast, but with cautionHigh energy, confident, andambitiousindividual
- Mustbe a passionate communicator, willing to challenge and enhanceideas while preservingrelationships
