As an IT Help Desk Manager, you willplay a key role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly byproviding top-notch IT support and solutions. You will beresponsible for managing our global IT service desk, ensuring thattechnical issues are resolved promptly and efficiently. This is ahands-on management role, where you will be expected totroubleshoot and resolve issues directly, as well as oversee thework of yourteam.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the IT servicedesk, ensuring that all technical issues are resolved in a timelyand efficient manner.
  • Develop and implementstrategic plans for the IT service desk to improve efficiency anduser experience.
  • Manage the ticketing system,ensuring that all tickets are tracked and resolvedeffectively.
  • Provide global support for ourmanufacturing operations, liaising with offshore teams asneeded.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technicalissues directly, including networktroubleshooting.
  • Ensure that all IT changes aremanaged effectively, minimizing disruption to thebusiness.
  • Maintain a high level of proficiencywith Microsoft Office, SAP ECC, and SAP E4, and ensure that allteam members are similarly proficient.
  • Managethe user experience, ensuring that all IT systems and processes areuser-friendly and efficient.
  • Adhere to andpromote ITIL best practices within the team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as ahelp desk manager or similar role in the ITindustry.
  • Proven experience with IT servicedesk management, strategic planning, ticketing systems, and globalsupport.
  • Strong technical skills, includingnetwork troubleshooting and hands-onmanagement.
  • Experience with user experiencemanagement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office,SAP ECC, and SAP E4.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and ITchange management best practices.
  • Experiencewith offshore management.
  • Excellentproblem-solving skills and the ability to thinkstrategically.
  • Strong communication andleadership skills, with the ability to manage a teameffectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in ITor related field is preferred.
