- A completed Bachelors Degree inchemistry chemical or environmental engineering or related field ofstudy.
- 7 years of experience serving as anenvironment manager program specialist or programmanager.
- In depth knowledge of internationalregulatory framework and country specific environmental (includingwaste and hazmat) regulations programs andprocesses.
- Experience in developing andmanaging complex environmental programs for air waste andwater.
- Solid experience in partnering withcross functional teams to develop and implement programs as well ason continuous improvement projects.
- Experiencein leading change in multiple site / country environment and theability to influence withoutauthority.
- Experience demonstrating a highlevel of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others andachieve results.
- Strong analytical skills withdemonstrated problem solving ability.
- Excellentbusiness writing and verbal communication skills includingcomfortable in interfacing with seniorleaders.
- Ability to adapt fastpaced environmentwith changing circumstances directions andstrategy.
- Proven track record of sound decisionmaking taking ownership and deliveringresults.
- Ability to develop and implementfunctional goals and roadmaps.
- Must be willingto travel up to 25%.
The MENATR team is seeking anexperienced Environmental Professional to join the team who willlead the development of programs for environment media (airstormwater waste water waste) and management (such as IncidentManagement Regulatory Interactions) and associated trainings tosupport Ops and other partner functions in executing the programsefficiently and compliantly at the site level. This role will workclosely with the Global EAP EMS Pillars teams and the EAP fieldcustomers to ensure that the designed programs and trainings willmeet the needs of each stakeholder group. This role will providestrategic direction to the MENA TR environment program andtrainings and invent and simplify to communicate technical conceptsto audiences with varying backgrounds and experience. This rolewill further assist in working with consultants or technical teamsto resolve regulated environment program barriers ensuringcustomers have a positive experience with internal tools andresources and coordinating streamlined access to process material.This individual will focus on implementing scalable and sustainablesolutions for managing compliance in the environmental field.Additionally this role will support the MENA Environmental Leaderin environment data management and business reporting to meet theAmazons high bar.
The ideal candidate must possessproficiency in environmental program and regulations and act as aSubject Matter Expert (SME) and demonstrate this expertise whenpartnering with teams throughout the Amazon business andoperations. The successful candidate must be able to worksuccessfully in a fastpaced environment have a resultsorientedapproach strong analytical and excellent written and verbalcommunication skill and proven ability to lead complex projectsacross multiple countries sites and businesses.
This position will directly report to the MENAEnvironmental Leader.
Key job responsibilities
MENA Environment Program Training and Reporting ManagersResponsibilities:
- Develop and supportregion and country specific environment programs that are locallyrelevant right size userfriendly andaccessible.
- Work with internal stakeholderssuch as Operations (including ACES) WHS Facilities Legal DangerousGoods Engineering RME / Facilities Procurement Learning andDevelopment Real Estate and New Build teams to identify and removebarriers for successful program development deployment and processimprovements.
- Release network alerts tostakeholders on new developments requirements and updates aroundthe programs.
- Deploy and monitor business /geographical performance against applicable key performanceindicators (KPIs).
- Support and lead in thepreparation and finalization of business reviewreports.
- Think big to develop integrate andimplement standardized tech and program solutions to increasecompliance while reducing burden on Amazon resourcerequirements.
- Partner with the MENA TR Launchand Engineering Teams to ensure the new building launches are incompliance with the applicable local regulations and conformancewith Amazon standards.
- Supervise consultantshired to deliver specific products and services under the Programsand Trainings scope.
- Provide SME support toMENATR team members when needed.
Dubai ARE
- Advanced degree orprofessional certification in an Environmental Sustainability EHSor related fields.
- ISO 14000 or equivalentprogram development and auditingexperience.
- Experience in a fast pacedchanging/growing organization.
- Experience inimplementing operational excellence lean principles and processimprovement in an operationalenvironment.
- Experience influencing seniorleaders without authority.
- Proficient inMicrosoft Office and the use of pivot tables and the development ofcharts and graphics.
