Resident Engineer - Electrical (Substation) UAE – Various project sites Your mission As Resident Engineer – Electrical (Substation) in our Transmission & Distribution department, you will manage the electrical engineering portfolio of high-voltage power substation projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV). You will ensure technical, HSE, and financial performance during design and construction supervision, while overseeing complex site works and maintaining client and stakeholder coordination. Your Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of substation electrical engineering during design and construction supervision. Supervise and manage technical works for 400kV / 220kV / 132kV substations on behalf of the Client (TRANSCO). Oversee site activities and ensure construction strictly follows approved designs. Monitor, report, and resolve non-conformance issues. Plan, organize, and supervise engineering and inspection activities. Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards throughout project execution. Manage client and customer interfaces to ensure strong relationships and effective communication. Review, verify, and close out installed quantities. Provide progress reports and advise on technical solutions where required. Your Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (approved by UAE regulatory authorities). Minimum 10 years’ experience in electrical engineering with a focus on substation projects in the UAE. Who You Are Strong technical expertise in substation projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV). Skilled in site supervision, project management, and construction monitoring. Knowledge of utility requirements, contract procedures, and QA/QC processes. Your Soft Skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Strong coordination skills with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Proactive problem solver with an eye for detail. Preference Prior experience with TRANSCO, ADDC, DEWA or other major UAE utilities will be highly preferred.
