About theposition

Themain objective is to provide support in the collaboration andcoordination of activities related to the Project Routes PDET andClimate-smart initiatives for climate change adaptation andsustainability (CSICAP) project in prioritized agriculturalproduction systems in During the execution of the projects theselected person will be responsible for the articulation betweenthe Alliance Bioversity-CIAT teams (Technological Innovationcomponent), IICO, Red Adelco, and the Delegation of the EuropeanUnion (among other key partners) in Routes PDET Program; andFedegan and CIPAV for the CSICAP

Thisposition will be the main focal point of the Project PDET Routesproject with the European Delegation, partners and beneficiaries inrelation to the implementation of the It will give a timelyfulfillment to the project requirements, and serve as a bridge fornegotiation, liaison and relationship between the European Union,government institutions, project partners, and our Simultaneously,this position will also be the focal point of component 2 of theCSICAP project, which is related to the implementation of newforage materials adapted to the climate and the generation ofinputs for the co-design of a sustainable livestock production

KeyResponsibilities

Project PDETEngagement:
  • Articulatethe technical team of Routes PDET Program in its two components,livestock and cocoa (each component has its technical coordinatorand a scientificsupervisor).
  • Organizethe coordination of various activities related to theimplementation of the Routes PDET Program, such as: riskmanagement, proposals for international technical assistance,support in the creation of guidelines for the relationship with thebeneficiaries, among
  • Coordinatethe interaction with internal areas (, finance, legal, amongothers) for the implementation of the
  • Leadthe Committees for Financial Aid to Third Parties(AFTs).
  • Leadthe relationship with the AFT support consulting
  • Leadthe relationship with the partner teams (Red Adelco and ICCO), aswell as with the coordinators of each of these
  • Leadthe relationship of the Alliance Bioversity-CIAT with the funder ofthe Program (EuropeanUnion).
  • Leadthe relationship of the Alliance Bioversity-CIAT with state andnon-state
  • Co-leadthe exploration and execution of options for innovation,sustainability and strengthening of actions for the Overall,oversee the effective and timely implementation of the

  • Coordinateactivities related to the evaluation of new forage materialsadapted to climate change(CC).
  • Performthe pre-selection of low-emission diets for the co-design ofsustainable Livestock systems - Climate-smart initiatives forclimate change adaptation and sustainability in prioritizedagricultural production systems in

RequirementsQualificationsandrequirements

  • Bachelorcareer in Biology, Agriculture, animal and Sciences, AgronomicEngineering, or related
  • PhDdegree in Livestock Science, Agricultural Science, EnvironmentalScience, or related field such as Animal Science, but withlivestockexperience
  • Advancedlevel of English (oral, written)) a third language is aplus

  • Demonstratedexperience and leadership in the management of rural developmentprojects
