The job holder is a senior member of the Water & Environment Sector team in K&A. He is involved in the management of Water & Environment related design projects of moderate complexity, including team management, technical management, schedule and cost control, quality management, risk management, and client management throughout the project lifecycle. He is accountable for the delivery of Water & Environment design projects of moderate complexity in accordance with project budgets and schedules while satisfying all technical and quality project requirements. While doing so, the jobholder is the main client counterpart and ensures client requirements are handled in a professional manner while maintaining a positive and reputable company image in all interactions. The jobholder is expected to progressively support and work on more complex projects, as needed. He shall stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the project management space and adopt best project management practices, where applicable.


Key Responsibilities Areas And Activities Of The Role
  1. Develop and seek approval for project budget baselines, including man-hour costs, expenses, and contingencies.
  2. Manage project budgets and resource allocation, ensuring adherence to allocated budgets for Water & Environment design projects of moderate complexity.
  3. Collect and analyze client requirements for Water & Environment design projects of moderate complexity.
  4. Manage client relations, including managing project expectations and sharing project progress and issues/risks.
  5. Ensure client satisfaction with Water & Environment design deliverables.
  6. Manage Water & Environment design projects of moderate complexity, including schedule and cost control, team management, client management, and risk management.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering
- Master's Degree in Engineering or Project Management is preferred
- PMP certification is preferred


Skills
  1. Knowledge of Water & Environment design covering specializations.
  2. Solid knowledge in all aspects of project management.
  3. Excellent knowledge of project management software.
  4. Strong budget management skills.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  6. Good understanding of quality control and risk management.
  7. Good communication skills.
  8. Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
  9. Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and various departments.
  10. Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Experience To Execute This Role

- 12+ years of experience in the Water & Environment design Industry in a top-tier regional/multinational engineering consultancy or project management firm.
- Strong experience and track record in managing Water & Environment design projects.


Languages

Arabic - Native / Mother Tongue
English - Very Good
